I'm looking at getting a PS3 (I really really want to play Demons' Souls) but won't buy Mass Effect 2 for it because I have it and the first game for the 360. Not much point in having the same game on two systems. And because the first game won't be available for the PS3, the Mass Effect series will always be a 360 and PC franchise to me. The games are heavily character and story driven. I can't even imagine playing Mass Effect 2 without having played the first game.

Edit: But PS3 owners should definitely buy it anyway. Find a way to play the first game if you can!

I already have it on steam so I don't see why I should buy it for PS3. It works perfectly fine for me so, no.

I've got a perfectly fine copy for the Bawks so unless there's some serious improvements to the game I'm probably not going to get it.

No I don't think I will. I played both ME and ME2 on the PC and I just couldn't get into it, so i don't think I will try it on the PS3.

Yes, it'll be my third copy (360, PC and soon, PS3) but they deserve the money and I'm interested in seeing how they make it work without the first game in the series. Aside from that, I can lend it to friends who don't have 360s or gaming computers.

I might very well, but I'd much prefer *both* of them to come to the PS3. I don't have a 360, and my friend is being stingy, and really don't like to play games like that on my computer, so the PS3 is my option. That only the second is coming is irksome, to say the least. It means all the follow-through I've heard about has no bearing, making choices seem arbitrary.

Because I have been disappointed by ever Bioware game post Jade Empire.
Now if they came out with a Jade Empire 2 on PS3 the I would be happy.
