Poll: Will you buy the PS4 or Next Xbox at launch?

No. I was fooled with the 3DS launch and will not be fooled again. Never again shall I buy a console at launch. Before I'll buy a console, I must ask two questions of it:

1: Does it have at least 7 games I'm interested in?
2: Can I currently afford it?

I'm actually going to buy the Wii U soon, as Deus Ex will make it meet my criteria. The Vita still has not managed that. Way to go, Sony. Didn't think you could botch such a great console.

Around the launch of the next generation, I'll probably get around to buying a PS3.

I've never seen much incentive to buy consoles Day 1. Waiting a couple years will earn you a better deal on a more stable version of the console along with low prices on games that came out on the thing while you waited.

And I've got enough to do right now as it is.

i always wait 2 years after launch it gives it time to get games out AND it could be cheaper with holiday sales, i got my Elite 360 for only 150 bucks on an online Christmas sale, it was when Elite was new it was even shipped to my house in one week. pretty awesome!

for the Wii it was on sale and at the store it was a tax free event so i got it really cheap too.

i'll probably wait for something similar to happen again

fuck paying the whole price for something that expensive, i only buy the games i really really like the day it comes out, nothing else.

Drop a huge amount of money on the console while there are almost no games to choose from, and before they can iron out the majority of the problems? No thanks. If I ever join the next generation, it won't be until the redesigned models hit the shelves. After having to replace my 360 half a dozen times, I've learned my lesson.

If I don't like what the next gen has to offer, I might just focus on retro gaming. After a few years, I'll consider investing in a strong PC.
