Tabs, unless I get annoyed by a silly popup. Then again... I just nuke those things anyways. :p

Used to be windows but now overall it is tabs. At times I do still use multiple windows because I do use multiple browsers.

What I do like about Google Chrome is that you can take a tab and turn it into its own window. Now if only we could take the windows task bar and treat that like an web browser tab...you'd make a mint I say! A mint!
And if you accidentally open something in a new window you can drag it to your other window and instantly convert it into a tab!!!!

Why Firefox, of course!

(Am I the only one...?)

As of Jan 2010. But Chrome continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Jan 2009, chrome was only 1%.

Tabs make browsing easier. Shortcuts make it better:

Close a tab with ctrl+w (or close with middle mouse button over the tab header)
switch with ctrl+tab
Open another one with ctrl+t.

Less clicks while doing more is always better once you've become more accustomed to the keyboard.

I prefer windows generally because I like using key commands - so I can alt-tab between them. However I prefer tabs at work: no matter how many non-work things I'm doing I can always alt-tab when someone walks by :)
ctrl+t to open a tab
ctrl+w to close a tab
ctrl+tab to shift forward in your tabs
ctrl+shift+tab to shift backwards in tabs.

Very easy.
