I just saw a preview and "Making-of" movie of Wolverine:eek:rigins, and seriously, i cried. Deadpool was not "Deadpool" he was a "Pool of all the mutant powers we know combined" with laserbeams in his eyes, retractable Katanas in each hand...Now youre probobly thinking "They cant screw up old Wade Wilson any more in this movie can they?" Well fuckit if they couldn't. they stiched his mouth up...The merc with a mouth is now in this movie "The freak abomination with a stiched-up mouth", Opinions?

I need a link or some other evidence to support the validity of this rethought Deadpool. I find it extremely hard to believe they would cast Ryan Reynolds and not allow him to be a wise-cracking maniac, it would be a waste of a great casting call.

You have to remember that each incantation of x-men has its differences, and this is no exception. I've seen the work print, you're over reacting. It would be silly for him to have the powers of every mutant we know, they haven't been introduced yet. My only complaint is that gambit isn't in it more.

WHAT? I dont read comics and even I know who Deadpool is. he is a pretty funny guy, and when I saw the preview I didnt see a stitched up mouth or katanas coming out of his hands, I saw him WIELDING two katanas. Plus I agree, they wouldnt make Ryan Reynolds Deadpool, if he couldnt talk. I am SO looking foward to the movie. Here is a question though, if he met Sabertooth for the first time in origins, why is it he didnt know who he was in the x-men 1 movie?

Not being a big follower of X-Men outside of the movies, I can say that the way they transformed the wise-cracking maniac into the mute Deadpool was done with a lovely amount of irony. I personally thought the transformation was rather fitting, given some of the lines and hints dropped previously to that point in the movie, but again, I didn't read the comics, so I have no idea what to refer it to.

A little more information on the subject for those who don't know. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33tO6wrPUVU]

All I can say is, we haven't seen the movie yet (unless you downloaded it), give it a chance, and wait for it to come out. Plus, I think this only happens at the end.

I mean, they could have him as the mute freak enemy in the beginning who then becomes the Deadpool we know and love. Or we could all be being majorly misled by the press releases and "exclusives." My vote: wait and see the movie.

I'm okay with them retconning Sabretooth, especially since Liev Schreiber is a perfect selection for the role. I haven't watched the original film in a while, but is it necessarily clear that Sabretooth and Wolverine don't know each other in that film? Or, if you want to pull a typical comic book rewrite strategy, you could just say the original film's Sabretooth was an imposter and the real one is still out there.

I actually like that idea the most.
