Poll: Would we know?

I know this is a dire thought for a thread, but I'm going to throw it out there. If, heaven forbid, something happened to you, say a terrible tragic accident, and you passed away, would The Escapist know about it? Would somebody post here and let us know, or would it just seem like you decided to stop posting?

In my case, I don't think anybody would know. The only person who knows that I come on this site is my wife, but I'm sure she wouldn't take the time to post such a thing on the forum. And, for added discussion, would you even want people to know, if you had a choice? Or, would you rather it seem like you just gave up on The Escapist?

Probably not, I only have 1 friend on here that I know personally, and I doubt he would post.
But I would want you guys to know if something happened to me that was heroic or epic, like I was in an epic sword/gun fight with a burglar.

I think people would know. I mean, when I went away for a month and didn't post Portal thought I had died. In fact, he made me a headstone.. Ok, it wasn't a headstone, it was more like a brick that had my name etched into it.

the escapist would weep for days, the forums would become a monument to my posts/threads
my account would be flooded with friend requests and badges for random things
but it would go unanswered

Probably not. I mean, I know one regular user on here in real life, and I doubt he'd post about it if I died, although I'd like to think he would, even just the once.

I think people would find out about me. My family would post on my twitter that I had died and I'm followed by a few Escapists and hopefully they would spread the word.

To be honest I'd want people to know, I'd hate to have everyone think I just abandonded them.

I...don't really know. Perhaps one or two people may notice that I stopped posting, but I don't think they'd know why.
But I suppose I'd want it to be known over PMs.
Just so people wouldn't think I gave up on this place. I love it too much.
