Knowing Valve, its going to be a terrible game but everyone will give it perfect scores. I bet they're going to have little physics puzzle games like they did in halflife 2.

"Put the brick on the teater totter to kill the zombies!!"

Ya, Left 4 Dead is gonna suck

No, I won't be getting it for the 360 or PC either. The game strikes me as lame and I would rather have episode 3 or some other new game that isn't about zombies.

Seconded.

On topic: L4D is a PC purchase all the way for me. Partly because it's cheaper through Steam, and also because I have such fond memories of Counterstrike.

And no, I wouldn't. The Xbox360's controller is much comfortable for me overall, and it's all the more with FPSs.
So you've tried both controllers? The one PS3 one I showed, and the 360 controller? - or are we just making assumptions?
No, actually I was talking about the real PS3 controller. The one that came bundled, not this one. Sorry.

The mouse-replacement for the PS3 looks awesome though.
Yah the PS3 controller is too light, it feels like I'm gonna snap it in half.
For me it was the obvious benefits of a PC game (controls, custom maps, etc) and the 360 (180 spin bumper, good online, achievements) the PS3 wouldn't have much leverage on my decision, cause theres less annoying people on PSN cause noone owns mics but you need communication to win this game and don't say trophies, trophies are lame

I never understood how you console gamers can put up with not having a mouse in First Person games. It's like having no fingers on your hands.

honestly, console shooters will be hindered compared to computer shooters. And valve makes stuff mostly for the computer anyway. TF2 for the consoles was a mistake, the online just doesn't work out. Though single player games would be just fine, because they would look really nice.

I am actually very accurate with a controller. Sure I am more accurate with a mouse/keyboard combo, but I got very adept at head shots in Resistance on-line. I look forward to mucny head shot in Resistance 2 and KillZone 2 on-line.

Using a mouse to aim is indeed easier that a controller... But doesn't that mean using a console would require more skill? It's all a matter of preference, so saying that this one is better than that one is just foolish.

As for the question: yes, I own a PS3; no, I would not buy Left 4 Dead for it. And anyone who does buy a half-assed product a year after it was originally released on everything else is a Sucker!

Personally I don't find the appeal of survival horror games. I find they are just a way to force emotional responces without the work that an artistic developer does to get emotional responces. While I do enjoy teamwork mutiplayer games (hearing others scream over the mic would be funny... but gets annoying fast) I just don't see a real teamwork aspect to this game. Maybe I'm just missing the point. Would I be happy to see it on PS3 to shut fanboys up, hell ya. Would I buy it... I won't buy RE5... and it's pretty.
