Being Bi-Sexual is the best of both worlds :p

The worst I have to put up with is whenever I'm dating a woman, my friends and cohorts say to me "Oh! But I thought you were gay!" Then I sight and explain that we've been over this millions of times before.

OT: Jump back a few years and I would've sworn on dead animals past that I straighter than Gene Simmonds, my my my how that has changed xD Now I wouldn't change myself for the world.
Heh, I remember when I was a wee boy (teen really) my cousin (who is roughly the same age) overheard our parents talking about someone who was bi. We got the vibe that they were slightly disgusted by it, but my cousin just blurts out "lucky bastard... no matter where he goes he can at least have something to look at".

He might have stretched the benefits of being bi a tad bit, but it was pretty funny (also note, he has a thick London accent, can't specify which one though, that might have added to the humour for me).

I'm happy being straight. I like women... they're pretty
My mate is gay and once told me that, if it were possible, he'd change to being straight because there's still so much of a stigma and struggle with being gay. I think he was being a tad dramatic; as far as I can tell, being gay is extremely accepted by our generation (not so much our parents', though). But I can't say that confidently without being in his shoes

That's probably his problem though. It's not our generation that's the problem. It's all the old fogeys who are still in power.

Just noting that in this thread, and a few before, there seems to be a lot more Bisexual people then homosexual. It's just an observation on my part, but I would have thought it to be blatantly the other way round... them statistics I've read in those stupid gossip mags are bull.

I don't see the point with some of those options.
If you want to be gay, you're already gay.
But bisexual, however, could be a logical choice.
I mean, you retain your current preferences, be it gay or straight, while still widening your strike zone.

Didn't look at the poll properly, and voted hetero, which I already am. Therefore, should be "comfortable as I am".

I'm good the way Iam.

I believe most people are fine the way they are. Some might to "fit in". It's sad but very understandable.

Your post tends to suggest you think sexuality is a choice. Am I correct in thinking that? Or have I misunderstood what you're saying?

I looked at the title and thought this was going to be a stupid thread but actually it's quite an interesting question.

As a straight guy I'm happy with who I am but there have been times, especially recently, when getting rejected or blown out by women has made me wonder if it would be easier if I was gay as I get on with blokes better. But then I realise it would just transfer the problems of relationships to the opposite gender. Plus I don't find men attractive

Asexuality would be interesting as then you would never really have the problems of sexual frustration or rejection or awkwardness, just kind of get on with life and have friends with no complications. However sex is just too damn fun to give up!

So nope. Straight and I wouldn't change it.

There's a particular reason who im straight. It's not that i dislike gays nor even that i haven't seriously thought about it, and if you ask my friends they might give you mixed answers. However the reason above all of why im straight is quite simply, because im straight. I'm straight and i know it so there is no reason to hide behind masculinity and there's no need to feel offended nor day to day prove that i am straight to others. The only one i care that they know im straight is the girl im boinking, beyond that people can think what they will.

Story of my life xD

At times there's too much choice, so my brain has a melt down and I choose no one and stair at the wall instead :S

Question: Does Asexual mean just masturbation or does it mean you suddenly create a clone of yourself which you run off and marry and boink? Because if the second is true then would it be possible to get a female clone of yourself? And if so i will have to say... nope, still straight. Having a female clone of yourself you boink might get a little weird.

I'm lesbian, and quite happy with that, although sometimes it feels like being asexual would be easier. Falling in love can be shitty.

Is it reversible?

Because I'm fine with being a guy, but I think it would be very educational for any person to put themselves in the opposite sexes shoes for a day even.

Also BOOBS YAY
This is not what the thread is about though. Gender =/= Sexual orientation.

Personally, I'm bi and quite satisfied with it. *shrugs*

I don't know if you're joking or not but I'll humour you. To be asexual is to have no particular preference in gender and in most cases no sexual urges or desires whatsoever.

Nah I'm pretty happy with my sexuality - it's not a whole lot to do with gender, so much as the person themselves.

As in, if I see someone who's attractive all-round (good looks, nice personality), then it doesn't matter whether they're a guy or a girl. I guess that's being bi, but...
I dunno, it seems a bit different.
