Do you personally count Pedophilia as a sexuality?

Either way, no I would not. I am content with my uncontentness.

I am very content being very Pedo.

Personally, I choose the option that continues the species. Also, why would I change from what I currently enjoy?

Well, 'continuing the species' is a silly thing to even mention now, since even if everyone on Escapist suddenly became sterile, the world would be making way too many babies.

I'm happy being straight. I like women... they're pretty
My mate is gay and once told me that, if it were possible, he'd change to being straight because there's still so much of a stigma and struggle with being gay. I think he was being a tad dramatic; as far as I can tell, being gay is extremely accepted by our generation (not so much our parents', though). But I can't say that confidently without being in his shoes
Being gay is accepted by OUR generation. However, there's still more of those baby boomers and our own parents around here, and most of them, not all but most, tend to be pretty damn traditional and conservative. Think about this: In America there are 45 states where your friend couldn't marry whomever he chooses to love. He couldn't serve his country without having to hide who he is. He couldn't even give blood without having to hide himself. Why should a person have to hide themselves before they can love, serve, and give? I'm ranting now and you don't even live in America, so I can't say much about the stigma in the United Kingdom as I don't know what it's like there, but over here it's still a big struggle being told you have less rights just because of what gender you're attracted to.

OT: No. I'm bisexual and wouldn't change myself for the world.

Edit:

Just noting that in this thread, and a few before, there seems to be a lot more Bisexual people then homosexual. It's just an observation on my part, but I would have thought it to be blatantly the other way round... them statistics I've read in those stupid gossip mags are bull.
That's because sexual orientation isn't strictly black or white. It's mostly a bunch of grays with rarely a few whites and blacks. And more people are starting to realize that.

I am perfectly happy, and perfectly normal, being pansexual. (I don't care what sex or gender my partners are. I'm perfectly happy with dating men, women, transgender people, whatever.) I would not change it for anything, and I fail to see why people would want to change their sexual orientation. If someone had a brainwashing pill that made you attracted to a certain gender only (which is what it would be), I would think it would be a horrible thing.

There is nothing wrong with any kind of sexual orientation. Whether you like men, women, both, neither, those in between... Whatever is right for you is right for you. What needs to change are society's attitudes towards sexual orientation. There is no 'right' or 'wrong' way here. People are as they are, and they should not be discriminated against or belittled about the way they are.

Surely if you wanted to change you would? But in answer to the question, I would stay as I am.

You just suggested that orientation is a choice, you realize that, right?
Not only is that just plain stupid, but you're probably about to get lectured on how stupid it is by multiple people x3 Good luck.

As far as I can tell if I were gay I could be having a lot more sex with anonymous sexy strangers. That doesn't sound bad to me.

I didn't say that everyone should choose my choice, I said I prefer to contribute. Also, your point is, unfortunately, pointless. First, we don't KNOW how many people the world can support with modern efficient technology if it was spread worldwide. Second, are you implying I shouldn't have children simply because of what you are told is a scientific fact?

I'm comfortable with being a pansexual. I have no problems as long as it's consensual...or they're reallllly attractive

EDIT: I would never change my sexuality because I don't have to be picky. Gender/race it doesn't matter. Although changing sexuality reminds me of those gay camps and they usually end in suicide...

I was simply saying that "I'll further populate the planet" is not a very good argument in choosing which of this thread's magical sexuality-potions you're about to chug, as that does more harm than good. If you had said "I choose the option that gives me the choice to have children, because I want children, not in the big scheme of things but for myself, to raise" ...Well that would have been rather long winded but it would have gotten the point across more easily. Unless you really do only want kids because you want to continue the species ._. Or you don't want kids at all in which case I would advise you not to contribute to my love of run on sentences.

Nope. I like being omni and though it may have caused some problems with ignorant people, those aren't the ones that matter.
I like having the ability to love everyone, regardless of gender ^-^

When I first saw the title of this thread, I totally thought you meant transgender, and I was going to call you on your incorrect terminology. However, upon reading, I see that you are actually asking a very interesting philosophical question. Kudos.

Anyway, I love being Bi, and I'm quite happy with it. Back in High School, I just wish I'd known it was an option. I wasn't even aware that such a thing was possible until I went to college. Very liberating. ^^

I wouldn't mind changing a few OTHER people's sexuality to Bi... but that's probably a topic for another thread. ^^

Edit:
Also, being Bisexual, I'd like a firm answer about something. What is the difference between Bisexual, Pansexual, and Omnisexual. Cause they all sound like the same thing to me. Can anyone provide me with a definition that explains this? Or are they all just alternative words for Bisexual?

Up till about 3-4 months ago I would have said that I was perfectly happy being who I was (lesbian).

Recently, less happy and more likely to say that if I could have my time over again, return to the ether at the moment of my creation and choose, I wouldn't pick homosexual because - whether people believe it or not - it does make life just that little bit harder.

I'm not entirely certain what has changed. Might have something to do with being thoroughly tired of being a marginalised minority, after years it can get tough.
