Poll: Would you date a girl just to annoy your parents?

Seriously though, my parents never cared to even comment on the girls that I've brought home. If I remember correctly, it had something to do with the lesson of, "its your life, fxxk it up as you wish".

I'd never date a girl just to annoy my parents; in the first place, I wouldn't want to annoy my parents. And it also would be extremely disrespectful to the girl.

That's pretty immature. I mean, if you like a girl and your parents happen to hate her, then by all means, date her anyway. But if neither you nor your parents like her, what's the point, except to be an insufferable douche (to the girl as well as to your folks)?

My boyfriend's parents loathe me, and it's absolute hell on him; I can't imagine him continuing to date me simply for the purpose of pissing off his parents.

If my parents were annoyed by a boy I was going out with, frankly, I would listen to what they had to say. I think they're quite sensible people, and seeing as I'm not moving out for years, I figure that it's best to avoid unneeded conflicts with them. Besides, it's not like I know what annoys them. If the guy were a dick to me and I went out with him, that would piss off my mom, but I would stop dating him because of his dickishness and not her annoyance.

To answer the question: No. As stated above, if I didn't like the person, it would piss me off more than them.

My mom doesn't care what I date and I keep looking for a kind of girl she doesn't like, just for the forbidden fruit effect. And yes, I would date a girl just to annoy my parents. =)

Well, TECHNICALLY I would. But I could date a crack whore 10 years my elder, and my Parents' reactions would be "THANK CHRIST, HE'S NOT GAY!".

Well, I have some family that might not respond well to me dating any girl (I'm a girl). If I find a woman I like though, I'd date her regardless of what they think. I would never date someone just to annoy them though.

The only reason i would date someone that my parents don't like is if i like that person myself. Its not just to mock them. its unfair to everyone. Playing with people's feelings is wrong.

Nope, I don't see the point in dating someone purely to piss someone else off, i'd feel like an ass for leading the girl on and being ungrateful to my parents. (even if my dad does royally piss me off sometimes)
