Poll: Would you like a tail?

Ok, I got to admit, this made me lul.

It's only because my ass is essentially non-existant and my fiance teases me that it looks like I used to have a tail.

It's become an inside joke that it was cut off when I was young. Therefore, I had to say "yes." I'd like a tail, only to corroborate my story

If I get a chance to roll for powerful new mutation of my body I hope to either get exoskeleton or a tentacle. A tail would be an alternative if it's very long, useful, strong and sharp.

A lightning fast scorpion tail with a vicous paralyzing toxic gland would be nice as well.

That would actually make sense if tails were a culture, but sadly they are not.

I see you can't quite make the leap required to deduce that I must be talking about furries and other people who want tails. That's what I was talking about.

And I believe the term is subculture.

A prehensile tail would be awesome when climbing (which I do a lot), and a tail would be useful for balancing when training (parkour, martial arts).

Seeing as one of the things I want to make during my lifetime is a mechanical tail that can somehow pick up and react to the balance of the user... yes I would not mind a tail. Seriously though, if we ever develop ways to attach circuitry to the nervous system I will design and build an extra pair of arms to put on my back and a prehensile tail.

I was waiting for a bus once with my boyfriend when a dude walks past wearing a tail.
I think it was supposed to be a dog tail cause it was black with a white tip at the end.
To be honest, it just looked stupid and I had the urge to run after him and yank it off just for fun.
I think tails would be annoying because of trousers, also I'm clumsy enough so I would probably fall over it all the time- so I'll say no.
Though if I had to I would have like a big cat (say a cheetah or something) tail.

It would make sitting in chairs a bit uncomfortable, it would have little use for a person of my height, it can be used against me in a fight, and many people would freak out.

Seriously, no. Not only would it make us unbalanced, but it would be unattractive, extremely annoying, and just be an overall nuisance. There is no way anyone could convince me to have one. Not even for a million dollars.

Well, there's two options. Does it register every emotion? I'd have to train it to hide what I really feel, or be really bad at, say, poker.
Does it pick stuff up? Maybe strengthen it to act as a third arm, or a third leg.
Or is it just for balance? I can walk like a V-raptor, all bent forward--that's be sweet.

Yeah, I'd only like a tail if it were from a reptile, because then it would be powerful and give me some balance. Should I ever lose it, I could just grow it back quickly.
