Maybe, if it looks and act's human (not like "I am Robot. I love you. Marry Me. Marry Me.") then possibly. I also still have to be attracted to it and love it back.

I feel this is appropriate,
OT: Yes if it looked like a human and was fully sentient.

Edit: Yes 'sapient', dude below me is correct.

If it was sentient, I could probably start treating it like a very good friend. I would not lust after it.

If it looks and feels like a person, then yes.

Infact, I'd want to be an android too. Get the scientists working on the necessary technology immediatly.

Well if it looked human, acted human, and thought like a human sure no problem. I don't care if it was just a normal robot that got it's own will through interactions with other humans. I would have no problem with it.

He hungers in his secret dreams
for the harsh embrace of cruel machines
But his lover is not what she seems
and she will not leave a note

I wonder who [if anyone] will get this..

OT: Sure, as long as it was a perfect facsimile and possessed free will. The choice to love me back, or not.
It would be human, essentially. I think the line is drawn at the psyche, not the body.

If she was sentient, had feelings, and loved me of her own free will, then I'd be open to the idea of loving her back. However, she'd have to look human.

With artificial intelligence and simulated skin and stuff. It's basically a girl who never gets her period, never complains about her looks (toggle wrinkles, off), can change stuff around...down there for maximum effect and you don't need protection.

Dating a robot seems to be the same thing as dating a person, only better.

I dunno, I'd be afraid of getting electro-gonorrhea...that really doesn't sound pleasant

I think so, I do want to have kids one day so that would effect my decision further down the road. But she would need to be self-aware, I don't want to be in a relationship with a robot where she's programed to love me...
