Inspired by a recent thread, what if you were given the option to have one superpower, any clearly defined power, but a random person you cared about died? If you don't care about people, you can't get a power.

I'd take the power to control the forces of life and death, then bring back whoever died for me to get that power.

I may not like people, but I certainly don't want their death on my conscience. Even if I do get time manipulating powers out of it. And, no, I wouldn't use my time powers to save my victim either. That'll cause a paradox.
