I wouldn't press it for sexual gratification, no. I'd just press it because too many women are irritating. Maybe if there were less of us we'd all stop being bitches to each other.

Of course, then we'd have to try to have more kids in order to sustain the population, and I don't want to pop out kids from my vag just so the world could go on. And due to that we might not have as many opportunities to have our own lives. So maybe I wouldn't.

As someone who said yes and that I would hit the button 3 times to remove 90% of men I wouldn't call it evil, I'd call it really desperate. I'm 22 and I've never been on a date. Like half of the people I graduated high school with have kids or are married. The loneliness crushes me so I voted yes.

No, for a couple reasons. If I am looking for a girlfriend, I don't want a girl to decide to date me just because there are a lot less other options. I don't think anybody that would wipe out 30% of their gender just to improve their odds of finding a girlfriend deserves to have a girlfriend. If wiping out 30% of my gender is the best way for me to get a girlfriend, I should probably be figuring out why such extreme measures are necessary.

Also, I tend to be suspicious of offers that fall back on the promise of sex to make me accept them.

I already have the person I want. Not sure how long it will last - but there is no reason to think it will end.
I still wouldn't press it if I lost her, because people should choose you for who you are, not because you're the best choice- but because you're the choice they want to make.

That makes no sense. If 30% less people existed, it would be 100% of selection choice, just as it is now. If we use your exact argument, your current partner chose you because there could have been 130% of the current male population, but, seeing as how there isn't, you were the best choice.

In math terms: SM = 1:10,000 or SM = 1:100,000

If there's 3.5 billion males (ignoring ages for the sake of simplicity) she chose you not because you were "the choice they want to make," but because they couldn't chose from 5 billion.

If there are ten lollies in a bag, the one you choose isn't the best in the world, it's simply the best of the ten in the bag. If the bag had fifty lollies in it, the same could be said.

If you read the OP's post you'd understand that that's not the point of the button.
I ignore the 30% crap because as you say, it doesn't make a difference really and just get to the "If pressing this button almost ensured youd get more attention from (the opposite of your gender) because yours was now more rare or rather just not as abundant, would you?"

The point is using something to alter the "playing field" to your advantage. I would prefer it if they liked me for who I was, not because I was the best choice in the bag.

And "It may also rid the world of many people in that gender you dont like" is also silly because it might hit people you like too.

What would be really funny is if it hit the person you liked.

- It could erase me or a person I like.

If there were another one trillion men available to pick from, you could well not be her best match anymore. Words like "best" and "right" are defined by their context and, of the men from her to chose from (people she knows, people close enough to her distance wise, people of appropriate age, etc., etc.) she currently considers you her best option.

It's not an insult and it doesn't take anything away from your relationship. I'm just pointing out how I see it. Unless you believe in people being made for each other, or whatever.

I know what you mean, and I do agree with you. It's just that I mean that in his case it's more: she didn't like me and chose me because I was "the best in the bag". Whereas now, I meet both the criteria of being liked and being the best available option.

Pretty sure 30% of the male population ceasing to have ever existed wouldn't increase your odds of "getting a girl." Unless being gay is a choice or something, lul. If you did wanna land a date, referring to others as things to "get" and "want" probably wouldn't be a great idea, either. People have this crazy idea that they would actually like to meet a friend and see if their relationship grows from that and stuff.

Yep. No consequences that effect me except I might finally get a girl to be interested in me? Yea, I would say I'm down for that.

The possibility that it erases someone I am close to (family and immediate friends) is so miniscule due to the population that its not really a problem. I would rather have a girlfriend at the moment than a funny comedian or actor honestly.

What I'm saying is that I really need to find out how to get a girlfriend.
