If this thread has taught me anything, it's that the reward is not that important. There are people that would push it, and people that wouldn't. The amount of money they are rewarded is unimportant.Monkfish Acc. said:No.
I mean, Christ, it's only a hundred dollars. It'd be like killing a dude for his shoes.
Why? What's the point?
It's a lot less hassle just to get a freaking job and work for it.
Now, if it were a million dollars... I probably still wouldn't do it.
Just because I wouldn't wanna.
I am a flower child and so on.
How do you know that you haven't killed someone you were destined to meet already, all because a decsision you made, or an action you took, had a knock-on effect?firedfns13 said:What if I were destined to meet them, but I killed them?trelloskilos said:The probability of someone you know being killed is staggeringly small.firedfns13 said:Not for a $100. What if it's my girlfriend, or my mom, or me?
Though if it were my dad, or my sister, or my girlfriends parents, or my government teacher I'd press it without needing reimbursement.
Err.
This makes me seem like an awful person. They're awful people, trust me.
Let's say you know 2000 people in the world (Friends, relatives, work colleagues, aquaintances, & people that you see every day). The odds that one of them will die are approx 3.4 million to 1.
You have better odds of winning the lottery than killing someone you might know by pushing the button.
Especially saying if I would have married them, but killed them before even knowing them...
except now we're in a paradox.
that is likely to end up killing youfluffybacon said:I would push it 6,838,770,834 times.
erm its a magic button where do you think the 100 quid comes from the random person not killed by it??brutus3933 said:My friend and I had this argument earlier. I feel that if someone were to die just after I pushed a button, then my not pushing it would probably not prevent their death. The two events are just so unrelated that my pushing of the button could, in no way, effect the outcome of another person's life. Oh, and I'm in a lead room to prevent any possible radio waves.
Edit: Yes, I'd push it. I dunno how many times. maybe 20 or 30.
I'm gonna go ahead and not believe this. That movie looks terrible and Diaz is awful.Evilbunny said:There is a movie like that coming out, but that's not where I got the idea, honest.Souplex said:Is this aboot that stupid movie coming out?
