This is just a fun question for you people. So,

Would you rather:

Have a phone that is always fully charged

or

Have a phone that is always connected to wi-fi?

Fully charged. I would tear apart the phone and then use whatever is making it tick as a new renewable energy source.

The Wi-Fi would be more convenient to have on a phone but after thinking about it I would have to go for the phone that's always fully charged. Why? Because what I would have would be more than just a convenience, it would be a device that somehow produces infinite and 100% environmentally friendly electricity. If we could harness that unlimited resource, perhaps even find a way to mass produce it, we would have an unlimited supply of clean and free electricity. It could be the basis of a new technological revolution, never have to worry about producing power and the pollution involved with it again and we could provide electricity to everyone in the world. It would improve the lives of everyone on earth and even allow us to move beyond it. Hell this is ignoring the benefits to myself, a discovery like this would probably make me insanely rich. Even if I never made a cent it would still be worth it.

So yeah, I'll take the phone that's always fully charged.

Wi-Fi, I have 500MB roaming data for when I'm out of the house but coverage in my local area is patchy and seems dependent on pure luck whether I get it in a particular location or not. It'd be awesome to have Wi-Fi everywhere. Battery isn't too much of a problem as long as I remember to put the phone on charge every night.

I came here thinking of the drowning threads....

Fully charged. Been so many times where phone ran out of battery far too soon in an emergency.

Fullest charge seeing how I hardly used the wifi at all. Maybe if I had a better phone.

Yeah, fully charged. I barely use the internet anyway, and I still haven't got used to the smartphone 'improvement' of having to charge it every day. I'm still used to old phones, the features of which consisted of; a)calling people and b)texting, but which lasted about a week between charges.

Plus I can then sell my Infini-phone (I'm already working on branding) to Samsung or something so they can unlock the perpetual energy held within.

Is the Wi-Fi connection actually supplying internet? Or am I just connecting to an Omnipresent Wi-Fi router that doesn't go anywhere?

Fully charged, because that's what would matter in an emergency. I'd rather be assured access to a phone with some features (calling, texting, games) than have a phone with effectively unlimited data... that I couldn't take advantage of because the battery was dying. I definitely don't take much advantage of my phone's data plan, which I'm sure informs my decision too.

WiFi. My battery lasts for days, and always being connected to wifi would let me get a cheaper plan, one without data.

I would go for the WIFI so I could download anything I wanted without the fear being overcharged. Also I wouldn't need to worry about no coverage areas, I could just send an email...

Keeping a phone charged is one of the most annoying things for me, because I use my phone infrequently enough that it's battery is usually drained when I suddenly do want to use it. Wifi would be nice, but it's not going to help me much if my phone is dead.

Fully charged... because my current phone does not know what the word "wi-fi" means in a modern setting anyway...

Plus, I don't use this so-called "wi-fi" on my phone... (That what my laptop does...)
