would you rather be beaten by....

1: a girl who picked up the controller for the first time in her life and made you look like the biggest noob on the planet, all the while saying over the mike how she is not even sure if shes doing it right. *edit to make less appealing* she then decides that gaming is not enough of a challenge and never picks up a controller again

or

2: a preteen doesn't even know the meaning of the words he is using as he uses, as his thousands of hours of practicing (both the game and smack talk) puts you to shame and makes you go RAGE. (and no mute button)

the results of your failure against the opponent you chose, no matter how well you played, then end up on youtube. Every one who knows you sees it and lols at your expense behind your back and to your face.
and every one you meet will say o your that guy who failed...

so which would you rather?

Definitely 1. Beginner's luck to me is far more tolerable than those 5th graders that spend their entire lives on Xbox Live.

The first one, I suppose. At least then I could possibly make a friend, and maybe even learn/teach her about the game. Neither one would really upset me though. Don't let the small things bother you.

1: if i've discovered a prodigy, that would excite me beyond imagination. And for two reasons...

a, SHE is a rare word when you're talking about gaming friends.

b, prodigies allow me to get better at a game. I'm only as good at Halo 3 as my best competition, alex. Me and him are even because neither of us have someone to get better fighting with. So we're sort of stagnate.

The first one. If a girl is that naturally talented, I myself would laugh and be impressed. I may also try and get her number (if practical).

Preteens, I wouldn't be that embarrassed (because of the thousands of hours they spend on Xbox Live and I don't) but I would want to hunt them down and cave their skulls in with a controller. I don't like being called a **** by someone who doesn't know what one is.

I hate the numer two people thus I chose number one. Also if the newbie was willing I would team up with her/him as I am always willing to help newbies in a game as long as they are cool and ask nicely.

I pick number one. I can just say the planets were perfectly aligned.

But really, no-one is going to end up posting a video of my gameplay on Youtube because I don't really play online multiplayer

*gasp*

Couldn't have said it better myself...

Or maybe I could have... Ah well.

Definitely the former. Being beaten by someone who has never played before, regardless of gender, is actually quite comical. Pre-teens shrilly howling obscenities into a mic gives me a rage like no other thing in gaming.

#1 i have both been beaten by 5th graders and new comers at games, and in a strange way being beaten by the newcomer is appealing cause i hope it gets them into gaming so we have another soldier for the great game culture army... plus they dont constantly shout the word noob and starting screaming after you shoot them in the face an experience we have all faced.

Sums up my feelings. I'd rather get beaten by a Newbie any day over a 5th Grader
