I don't care what anyone says about the quality of the matches tonight, I'm looking forward to Wrestlemania 25, the 24th 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania >_> Yeah WWE can do math.

Anyway, is anyone else at all interested, there's gotta be some wrestling fans at the Escapist.

Watching, not buying. I think wrestling is ok, even if it is all choreographed.

Bah the main matches (the world heavyweight and the WWE) are extremely boring...

The rest is nice.

Matt Hardy better kick Jeff's ass, Jeff is an over-rated fuck, IMO. Matt still hasn't got the respect he deserves.

Seeing as you ask for oppinion here goes

I know wrestling is fake, and i don't mind it beeing fake, i like kung fu movies.

But i've seen wrestling once or twice, and tbh i think it was epic fail on a huge lvl.

The choreography was horrible, i'm sure the moves can be very hard to pull off, but it seemed more like a demonstration of moved, thanb like a fight of any sort. I mean they stand around doing nothing for like 5-10 sec just w8ing for the other guy to pull his move off. Apart from that, there was so little actual fighting going on and too "acting" the script for the acting was so horrible that even 40 year old soccer moms, who loves soap operas would facepalm, and the wrestlers acting-skills makes were just as bad.

This is my oppinion, and i know wrestling fans would disagree, so fell free to tell me off or argue against it. I'm actually quite interested in hearing what you find awesome about it.
I'm not trying to hate/flame you, i like stuff other people find horrible as well.

What, if I may ask, did you watch?

I think it was RAW or something like that, they talked alot about the upcoming wrestlemania, and talking about "I'LL SEE YOU AT WRESTLEMANIA 25"
i clearly rememebr most of the names mentioned in the above posts

I picked that last option. Because wrestling is pointless. Well, the actual wrestling is fun. WWE is just absurd.

Well, unless I knew who, what show and what week you watched, I can't say whether I agree or not. If it was the Triple Threat buildup with the stellar (sarcasm) acting skills of John Cena and (ugh) Vickie Guerrero, then I can't blame you too much.

I used to be in the "lol wrestling is fake and dumb" crowd, but at some point I realized that it doesn't really matter that it's all staged, it's more about the show. Still not a fan, but it's not really necessary to be snobbish about it.

one time they we're arguing over someone who kicked someones dad in the face
And the other time this dude tells a fat chick that he loves her while her husband stands beside her, and then he doesn't anyways because it was just because a third guy who was also there were caught making out with her on tape.

There were also this guy acting tough from his house when the guy he's flaming starts chopping his door down with a hammer.

But apart from the horrible acting which we can all accept (c'mon we're GAMERS here, we're used to crap acting/story) I'm kinda interested in hearing how people find the "combat" entertaining. Only thing i saw that came sort of close to cool was this little south american guy mysterio, who made some pretty cool stuff while swinging around in the ropes

I don't follow wrestling, but my friends dad is a lawyer for the WWE so I watch Wrestlemania at his house every year.

First one and the home attack were Triple H and Randy Orton. Orton doesn't have charisma to save his life but it's actually interesting how far back this story was actually taken (WWE has a tendency to "forget" things that happened in the past that conflict with current stories)

Second one was the aforementioned Triple Threat, which is one of the stupidest things already this year. It makes no sense, and at the same time predictable >_< So, while I can't blame you for not enjoying the show on that alone, there is a lot more to like than hate right now.

And Rey Mysterio is on the show tonight, just because you mentioned him.

Does any1 know how well cordinated the actual fights are? i know it's fake, and tbh no-one with any sense of sanity would try some of those moved without their opponent beeing prepared for them.
But to they cordinate the whole figth b4 it happens, or do the improvse a lot of it durring the fight?

IMO it would could be quite good if they cordinated the fights better, so it would look more realistic, instead of now where it seems too obvious that they more or less take turns showing a move/block/countermove on the opponent.

Everything is talked about before the match, theres probably some improv when it comes to cash in the time to do the moves and stuff. But they enter the ring knowing what is going to happen.

Hell the WWE even changes the nationality of some Wrestlers. That dude Kofi whatever name is not even Jamaican, he is Nigerian, the WWE changed is nationality for the show so the general audience goes "Jamaica=Bob Marley=Cool" and not "Nigeria=wut?".
