I find wrestling too hard headedly macho for me but I've got to admit that the method of plot/story delivery inherent in the concept is fnucking brilliant. Sometimes you can forget it's fake (other than the sometimes really fake looking fighting).

My opinion on wrestling is that Triple H and Shawn Michaels are awesome. I watch it very randomly. Royal Rumble perhaps, and Wrestlemania, with a few other things in between, but not anywhere near as much as I used to.

Meh, and meh is all it will ever be to me, unless they allow real weapons other then folding chairs.
They do use real weapons sometimes like bats and knives. They also get set on fire sometimes.
Has anyone seen a 'match of 1000 tacks' on TNA? A ring filled with thumbtacks with bags of tacks and boards with tacks on them. It kicks serious arse. The wrestlers get all f*cked up!

I watch it (WWE Raw + Smackdown) and I enjoy it. I know those are actors, the storylines are scripted, but whatever? It's really funny to watch.

I used to watch wrestling. Then I saw UFC. I can't watch wrestling now.
UFC is good but I get bored when the whole "ground and pound" method just goes on for the whole match. It's been interesting to see how Brock Lesnar is developing there though.

I don't get to watch wrestling as much as I used to but I still love it, it's always been entertaining to watch :)

Yep nothing gets me in the mood like hairy, sweaty ,half naked men slapping each others tits.
Although the extreme stuff is quite cool (barbed wire pole!) and I'm not sure if it's the wrestling i hate or a friend(dude who won't leave me alone)who is obsessed with it.
He's even on youtube singing his favorite intro song, he practices moves all the time, he even invented his own moves and team or the fact that he shells out 50quid every year to buy a new wrestling game and a tenner every time a match is on sky sports. Maybe it's because he's ignorant to the fact that it's fake.

Once you actually know what's going on, it becomes really interesting, especially when you've got two ground-fighters going at it. Almost like a chess game of move/counter-move to see who can gain a dominant position.

I work in wrestling, and I've been lucky enough to meet a lot of my childhood heroes, albeit they're pretty washed up, most are drunks or addicts, and really don't even like doing it anymore. I'll tell you one thing, any visions of grandeur are shattered when you actually start spending time behind the curtain, and you find out what a sleazy business and what kind of crappy people make up the business.

Also, I'd like to see anyone tell a wrestler to their face they think wrestling is "gay". They'd be served with a big lunch of fisto-de-face right quick. It's just acting. Really, really painful acting.

WWE is great also and I'm so glad Christian is going back there to meet up with Edge again.
Is that actually the case? I knew he was offered a contract, but I didn't think he'd decided to go back to WWE.

I used to watch in back in the day, but not anymore. However, I recently saw an ad for the WWE wrestling which showed some guy talking about some epic battle between Good and Evil? There were a bunch of guys with swords fighting skeletons and everything.

And yet people are still fighting over wether wrestling is real combat or fake and only for entertainment... thats sad...

As somebody who used to wrestle in high school, professional wrestling makes my blood boil.

Never really watched it. Same with UFC and all those extreme fighting shows.

While I can appreciate the work that goes into all of those, I tend to look at it like all sports, watching is boring, about the only game/sport I can watch is golf(yeah, I know).
