So about 5 months ago I got my first Xbox live gold subscription and fell in love with it. But about one month ago i moved houses and my dear xbox was no longer beside my router... It being about amonth since if played any sort of online game or gotten dlc have gotten desperate. So should I trade in my old xbox to gamestop and buy a new one? That would cost me an extra 150$ around or should I get the wireless adapter for about 100$ ? or if you have any other ideas plz share them, need help really...realy badly

To be quite honest, I only came here for the title. I'll read your post now, and change my response accordingly.
EDIT: Sorry, I have no idea what you're saying.

ive got a 30m Ethernet cord running through my house at the moment. It's the cheapest and simplest option. Bit ghetto but

I suggest that you spend 40 bucks and buy a 50 foot ethernet cable like I did.

LOL! Yeah, same here, but I did feel bad and voted anyways for ya! :)
Me too. I feel the OP is obligated to give us a thread about penis hoarding and xboxes.

I kid though...a little.

On topic, get an ethernet cable. That way you have one even if the xbox doesn't work out.

Stay away from my penis. I like it where it is.

Oh...

File this one under "Misread"

Trade for the new one, I 'd say. There's more advantages than just the built-in wi-fi.

If it's really just a $50 difference, I'd say go for the new xbox. It's all new and shiny and stuff.

You could probably buy a wireless router that acts as a bridge, and would be useful otherwise as well.

The 360 does not come wireless ready? That is a ripoff. And yet people will still pay for a subscription and an adapter just because Micro$oft says it's the only way. What is next, the on button becomes a coin slot and hired goons come every week to collect the payment?

You might want to check your local GameStop/whatever to see if they have used adapters. My brother got one in this way for $40.

Also, I totally misread the title and thought this was a new mutilation cult arising from the innumerable horde of XBL members.

wait! you want wireless networking for on-line gaming?!?!

do you not foresee any problems with this?

EDIT:if you get the new 360 or the in-built wi-fi, its not doubt going to be cheap in terms of quality

Just get a 50 ethernet cable. Wired online gaming is faster and less security issues.
