Xenomorph. they seem like they would have the bigger advantage with an exoskeleton compared to the flesh of a Necromorph. Plus the queen alone would just destroy based on sheer size.

I think necromorphs would win this one. Xenomorphs are strong, but they wont be good at fighting enhanced, reanimated forms of themselves.
EDIT: Did not see the second part. That being said, my opinion remains the same. Nercomorphs are very adaptable and powerful, but I think the Xenomorphs have a MUCH better chance now.

As for me Xenomorph in Alien you could clearly see a problem. You cant freaking shoot them cause their acid blood can almost melt through the hull. On a colony this proves to be less of a problem (See Aliens) but on a spacestation Xenos would be a bigger threat by far.
Also Xenos take traits of their hosts (See Aliens for a Dog Alien) so on a small colony they might have some animals lying around. Something as simple as a cat/dog could spawn terryfying hybrids.

Necromorphs due to the fact that they could really end up with some of the xenos on their side due to post-mortem penetration. I am of course referring to the infectors that use probosci to infect dead enemies. That and the necromorphs haven't had a god awful sequel... yet... :|
Are we forgetting the Hive Mind? Tjhat could kill a Xeno Queen with a flick of its tentacle...literally. Also the Brutes, Tripods. I still love the Xeno's, damn them with their extendo-mouths and acid blood.
If a Necromorph was to find its way into like a morgue or something and then spread, they would have the advantage of numbers. Since necro's can reproduce faster then surely that would give them an advantage, right?
Okay, if they were all starting with fully evolved forms, I would go with the Xenos, of course. But it's stated in the OP that all they are starting with is the Marker and some eggs. Doesn't it take something like a couple hours to get a fully grown Xeno? I think the Necros would destroy the eggs and any infected hosts before the Xenos would have a chance to fully mature.
Xenomorphs. Issac can blast through several hundred necromorphs with a bloody plasma cutter, but a squad of highly trained marines gets torn to pieces by a few Xenomorphs.

I like em both but if I had to choose it would be a Necromorph. We are counting them out to easily. Yes when it comes to head to head fight there is no question who has the advantage here. Though aren't we forgetting a few factors? Necromorphs don't stay slasher mode forever they get big and mean and when I say that they tend to mutate constantly depending on their environment and also some situations have an effect on their evolution which means the Xeno's wont be fighting one typ of Necromorph.they aren't humans, yes remove a few pieces get a good few hits they still come at you even when you bash in their face not to mention they gain numbers quickly. So do the Xenos but last time I checked the Chest busters need a few hours for them to develop while it doesn't take necromorphs long to gain more within their fold. Secondly it's possible for an alien to get infected. I mean The acid blood is if they get wounded but who said they would be bleeding acid blood from their throats to their stomach? I also thought Xeno's also prefer warm and fresh meat compared to stinky rotting flesh? lol could be wrong there anyone feel free to correct me.
Of course I am not exactly sure if a Xeno can be infected I just don't think they would like rotting Flesh. Though I will admit a Xeno vs necro movie would sound really epic in my opinion.
