Poll: Yahoo is now Facebook?

Here is some info from it that stands out.

The deal means that people who maintain profiles on Yahoo and Facebook can link the two pages and cross-pollinate both with one update.

For instance, Yahoo has struck a deal with social game giant Zynga which will see hugely popular titles such as Farmville and Mafia Wars work with its network.

So im not amused..if this update goes live and i don't like the way it looks/acts on me im dropping them.

So i ask you all...how do you feel about the new direction yahoo is going?

It's just too late to the party. Why would people go there when facebook is already obliterating the market?

But whatever, people might end up thinking "oooh. new. shiney" and go make yahoo accounts. I stopped using my Yahoo when I, you know, grew up.

This is going to be like when AOL took over Bebo all over again. Luckily, I don't use Yahoo at all, and watching Facebook take a plunge would be utterly delightful.

FFS I'm going to delete my facebook account. It pisses me off that everything is facebook linked now. How do I know some site isn't just going to eavesdrop and pull my info to put into their database? That would be so damn easy to do.

... I doubt that Yahoo can pull it off. But remember that before Facebook, there was MySpace. The way I see it, it's only a matter of time before the fad wears off, and someone new comes along to off Faceboook and become the new fad.

It won't be Yahoo though lol.

PS: I joined myspace very reluctantly because it seemed like a fad to me at the time... lo and behold, a year later, the fad had worn off and everyone had moved on to facebook. I refuse to make a facebook, much to the ire of my friends.
