You know what I'm referencing. In the wintertime it seems like everywhere you look, your eyes stumble upon that one patch of yellow snow, standing out like the sun in a night sky. Animals and people tend to leave their mark just about everywhere. What's the first thought that enters your mind when you see this?
Now, would it be better not to see this? Regardless of whether or not snow makes it visible, it's still going to be there. You just wouldn't see it. Is not seeing it preferential to knowing right where it's at? I mean, on a summer day you could be walking or sitting in it, but you wouldn't know it. Is ignorance bliss on this occasion, or would you rather have the snow leave X's on your map?
Is it better not to think about this at all, like the way your mind avoids thinking about the last person to use a public restroom before you, or whether your doctor is having to reuse those latex gloves, thanks to budget cuts? Maybe some things are best hidden from thought.
