I don't really know where I got the idea for this, but I was wondering, what's your favorite archetypal ancient civilisation? Do you like Gladiators, Pyramids, Viking Mythology?
Their religions were essentially the same thing, but they weren't the same civilization. That's probably why they're both up there. Plus, who would vote against a Greece/Rome team?TheNecroswanson post=18.73158.785360 said:Why is there an option for both Greek and Roman? I'm well versed in Greek mythology, but it was my understanding that Roman is just Greek with different names.
I had to study both in Ancient History. While both have there differences, they are quite similar. Agghh, bringing back horrible memories of 'What is different between Athenian and Roman Women' assignment. There's next to none!Shivari post=18.73158.785401 said:Their religions were essentially the same thing, but they weren't the same civilization. That's probably why they're both up there. their slaves weren't like the slaves we all think of, they were more lifetime employees who couldn't quit. they actually had quite a lot of rights** The slave thing is a bit of a downer, but then again all those cultures had something of the kind.
