The closest thing to a healer I can find.
Seriously, I'm so excited for this game, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself.
You'll want to take good, long looks at the Elementalist, Engineer, and Guardian (also Necromancer, to an extent. it's a great support profession but not really "heals"
per se.). But remember, you can't just stay in the back and heal in GW2. Your heals won't be strong enough alone, and without your help on offense AND defense, the party might not win the more advanced encounters. Fortunately, all three (and every profession, really) can switch roles with the push of a button... and switching around is actually really fun.
If anyone's interested, the French fansite Luna-Atra created a "skills tool [http://gw2.luna-atra.fr/skills_tool/?lang=en]" to play with (in both French and English). With it, you can get a general feel for what the professions might do. Naturally, none of the skills or numbers are set in stone (or fully up-to-date), but it's fun anyway
