Hey, pretty simple question, favourite cakes! :D (Yummy!)
I am very eager on knowing what types of cake receive more love (No not freaky cake-fornication love)

Recipes most welcome if you have a certain type of cake included with the ones listed, or if you hit 'other'

:D

My favourite is a vanilla (or plain) sponge cake with either lemon or vanilla icing.

Red Velvet.

It's like chocolate, but less cocoy. Mmm...

Cheese and Ice Cream are good too, but I usually consider those separate deserts. I mean, you generally have some other kind of cake as part of Ice Cream cakes, so you could use Red Velvet, in which case that would be my favorite cake.

I also like Yellow cake. And Angel Food. Why so few good cake options in the poll?

... now I'm hungry. Damn you, Mazza35. You'll ruin my diet for sure.

Cheesecake is fantastic. Strawberry cheesecake specifically.

Overall though, I prefer pie. Pie makes me the absolutely happiest.

Got to go with mud. Good old mud. It can be extremely rich however so I usually don't eat that much.

Cake, Torte, Sweetloaf, all synonyms for an inherently excellent food regardless of form.
Just like people! I mean being in varied form, not excellent food.

This is Rollkuchen. ["Rawl-koo-ken"], a traditional Mennonite dessert. It's light fluffy dough fried in oil, best served with sugary syrup and a watery non-citrus fruit like strawberries or watermelon. It reminds me of far away summer vacations with relatives back in Saskatchewan...

Cheesecake's rather lovely. My gran's Christmas cake. Does banoffee pie count?
