I have some very close internet friends (Varchld, NewClassic and the lovely Sennz0r as an example).

I think that there's a stigma around "internet friendships" because of the fact that you may never meet them; how do you know that they're the people they say they are? Yadda yadda yadda. I'm sure that if they hated me or weren't the people that they say they are, they wouldn't have put up with my constant bitching and sexual advances. AMIRITE!?

I have no real life friends of my own (at least none that live in the same state as me) but I love you all dearly as if you were my real friends.

There's no difference to me one way or the other. You guys are my friends.

The fact that I don't see you everyday and there's no face to face intimacy doesn't matter to me.

Besides....I've recently fallen for someone here whom I love dearly, so yeah, just because it's over the internet doesn't change things for me.
Yay, new friend by default! =D
*Preemptive hug*

OT: My best friends, as well as my current girlfriend, are all online. I don't connect with many people here on a deep level, and most online I consider my real friends who I'd gladly visit and who I plan to. So yeah. Online friends are the best friends to me. Couldn't live without the best of 'em~

I'm pretty close with the ones I think of as actual friends. The other people on my list are just people I get along with and/or like to talk to. I trust the actual friends alot. Like, probably shiny object alot.

It is hard to say. It depends on the person. Most of my online friends I wouldn't trust with much, but there are some who I am so close to that I would trust anything with them. One of my online friends, Tres, is practically a mother to me. Depends on the person really.

I consider some to be real friends, some to be just words on a screen, and most to be somewhere in-between.

I don't really have any friends offline, due largely in part to the fact that I live in a place where any friendships I do make will be temporary---I'm moving home in a year and a half, likely never to return.
Pretty much this.

My real life friends who live here aren't anything that will last. I'm moving back home next year, and I'll only come back to visit family.

I have a couple of good friends here, but still. I hold certain things back for a reason.

I don't have any. It seems weird to call someone a friend who could disappear and I would never know what happened.

I guess for me 'Online Friends' are definitely less trust-worthy than real life friends. Although I do love having them.

I have no online friends, but I guess I'd trust them enough. I mean, why not? Online friends are people too!

I was thinking about how much I trust them, and then I realised, I do actually trust them with my 'life'.
I consider them real friends, friends to rival the ones I have in real life, or even surpass some of them.
But anyway, I do trust them with my life. Because currently, I cannot die, thanks to an order from one of them.
Other things would require a majority vote, so...

Awww, we love you too, Julian <3

Personally, AND I AM NOT TRYING TO TROLL OR ANYTHING, but "online friends" are not friends and, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE HURTFUL, its a wee bit pathetic to say they are "real" friends. You have absolute no knowledge about them and they can lie about anything, no matter how much you "believe" or "think its true".
Yes, it is just your opinion. That is why it is wrong. Perhaps you have never found good friends online, or any friends. But some of us have, and it doesn't just stay online forever.

I'd call them good friends, though as with most people I still am kind of insular. It sometimes makes things a little strange at times. I'd say that I trust them quite alot, and certainly more than anyone that I know in the real world. It is on the net and on this site especially where my true friends have been found. :)

Good God, no. I assume your all serial rapist, just itching to get a piece of this, sweet, sweet booty.

Than again, I also assume everyone I meet in real life is sleeping with each other. Why? It makes socializing much more amusing (And the rumor mill much more exciting).

I trust all two of them with important things in my life. Considering my closest internet friend only lives an 8 hour drive away, we actually hang out occasionally, so she is more half an internet friend now.

I'd..trust them with a secret. Mostly because they don't know anyone I know, so there's no worry of it being slipped out. :p
I've met a few back in my MapleStory days. And more through various online games.
I wouldn't say they're inferior to my IRL friends.. Hm.

Seems to be largely just me but I'd consider online people my friends much easier since talking to them doesn't involve looking at them.

I have a few online pals that I'd consider to be true friends. They're the ones that I've spent lots of time talking with.
And I'd trust them with almost anything. A few of them have helped me through some difficult shit, just by being there to sit through my pissed off typing.
That being said, there are not many people on this site in general that I would trust with more than my name. There are some sneaky bastards on here.
