I've never subscribed to a particular political ideology. I just spend my time slowly weighing the pros and cons of all systems and they mostly come out even(or close enough to even) for my tastes. With the exception of conservatism. Refusing change gets you nowhere.
I didn't vote, because I'm an anarchist.
I'd like to think of myself as a practical anarchist though, I'm not going to try overthrow the government, because without a financial and international relationship all society as we know it would crumble, but I do believe individuals would be better off in charge of their own destinies.

It can't work, because people are ruthless bastards who always want more. If the goverment says 'This is your share', there are always those who'll say 'Fuck, I want more'.The DSM said:

People believe that if they strive harder to accomplish a goal, work more efficiently, or make smarter decisions then they deserve a larger reward for this. The problem with communism is that it doesn't allow this and rewards people the same despite how well someone does. After a while people simply strive to get something done with the least amount of effort allowed. The only way one could push people to strive under suchs conditions is under a totalitarian government that would punish those who performed subpar.
I heard many people talking about how communism would be a great idea, but I actually detest the idea. I believe that someone should have to harvest the fruit of their labors, or lack thereof, and if they fall of one reason or another they should adjust their lifestyle accordingly. In terms of government services, I'd much rather prefer privately owned organizations handle the safety net designed to prevent people from hitting rock bottom. It's been proven in almost every situation that they perform more efficiently and effectively than a government ran bureaucracy which can run slower than snail shit. Also, it isn't as though people are too selfish to provide money to the aforementioned charities since I've seen many situations where that is exactly the opposite.
In my mind the government should be minimalized to the smallest it can be while still managing to provide governmental basics such as protection, justice, and equality.
Libertarian(ish). I'm not going to humor the Communists by saying their system will work, it hasn't and it will never. Flaming death trap, poor theory, all that jazz.
