I'd say I've only actually played about 10% of the games that I own on steam. My backlog is just massive these days.
dang you're moving slow as fuck, i'll admit i don't do EVERYTHING there is, because let's face it, there are shit tons of grindy/mediocre fetch tasks that aren't worth their weight, but mostly all dialogue sequences i hit on each playthrough (i enjoy the banter), but DA:O with all it's DLC (minus awakening) takes me about 40 hours, i can't tell you the last time it took me 80-90 hours to beat a game, if it was it was a god damn jrpg with lvl'ing all my guys to 99.Mycroft Holmes said:![]()
Jebus 2904.3 hours played on steam. It seems like so much. But its only 3.73% of my time since I registered a steam account.
I figure a full completion playthrough for nightmare mode is 80-90 hours. Then tack on another 40 for the awakening, witch hunt, the Dwarven thaig one, ect. So Figure 5 or 6 full playthroughs? There's 6 different origins, Human Noble, City Elf, Dalish Elf, Circle Mage, Dwarf Commoner, Dwarf Noble. I mean if you really wanted to ensure that you see every single bit of content then it's not... that... crazy? Although there's also another one for an Orlesian warden in a new game awakening.gmaverick019 said:holy fuck, 636 hours in DA:O? I mean I love that game as much as the next bioware fan, but sweet jesus that is a ton of hours, i'm hoping you had lots of mods running different times, or did you just enjoy it that much?wombat_of_war said:words
well the first fallout game i played was new vegas. when finally got fallout 3 working windows 7 and tried while i still felt like playing new vegas instead. after playing fallout 3 for a short time the the main story failed to grab me. i don't care where James is or if ever see that character again so far.PreviouslyPwned said:I don't understand how you can put so much in to New Vegas, and virtually nothing into Fallout 3.Reincarnatedwolfgod said:http://www.lambentstew.com/webblog/miniproject/steamanalysis/steam_value/Reincarnatedwolfgod
here is a link i have no clue how to post a image of it.
as you may see New Vegas is a hell of a time sink for me. i am taking a break from New Vegas and trying some of the game on my steam list that i never touched or barely played. if don't i would feel like i wasted money and for a change of pace. naturally Fallout 3(3 hours) does not count as a change of pace it is too similar to New Vegas(673 hours).
I actually like fallout 3 just as much.
The biggest things that I remember were the interface, character progression/pacing, and combat. Graphics too, but it's an old game so I can't really hold that against it. The main story line was dull too, though I did enjoy many of the side quests. But, ultimately, I walked away with a bad taste in my mouth and I pretty much only finished it just to say I had.Your Gaffer said:What do you hate about Morrowind?
Yeah I'm talking full completion. I only actually bothered to do it once, mostly because I'm an insane person and must compulsively finish things completely. I just played the other origin starting stories through and that was good enough for me. But the time I did it I did fucking everything, and did it on nightmare mode.gmaverick019 said:dang you're moving slow as fuck, i'll admit i don't do EVERYTHING there is, because let's face it, there are shit tons of grindy/mediocre fetch tasks that aren't worth their weight, but mostly all dialogue sequences i hit on each playthrough (i enjoy the banter), but DA:O with all it's DLC (minus awakening) takes me about 40 hours, i can't tell you the last time it took me 80-90 hours to beat a game, if it was it was a god damn jrpg with lvl'ing all my guys to 99.

Why do you have 1006 unplayed games? What made you buy that many games and not play them? Couldn't you have taken that money and put it towards something actually useful, like giving it directly to me?janjotat said:
i didn't play on nightmare myself, but i suppose i can see those revenants and DLC being absolute bitches on higher difficulties (those damn revenants screwed me over a few times with that "pull" technique they'd do, fuckin horse shit), and yeah those variety of 10 *insert here* quests were awfully annoying with how many loading screens you'd have to go through to get them all completed, i wouldn't have the stubbornness to do them all.Mycroft Holmes said:Yeah I'm talking full completion. Killed all of those annoying as shit revenants, which take forever on nightmare. Made Wynne or whatever her name is grind potion making on potent lyrium potions, while I traveled around to get the cheapest ingredients. Made enough sovereigns to last me through all the games, and bought every single piece of store bought overly expensive equipment so that my entire party was decked out as much as humanly possible. Did all those little fetch quests like find 10 love letters or whatever. Also that uhh DLC boss in the Golems of Amgarak(sp?) took me fucking forever on nightmare. It was a long time ago but as I recall it took me like 2-4 hours before I finally got him. I think I did it before I went through awakening, so my character was underpowered for the DLC.

Yeah I'm actually surprised that's my most played game. Although I guess if you combine all the mount and blade games I have a lot more hours in that(Nearly 700 actually.) And both the l4d games combined are more as well. But yeah, Fallout NV is one of the best games of the past like 5 or 6 years. I miss oldschool western RPGs, with good writing and divergent quests.gmaverick019 said:P.s. I see you racked up a shit ton of hours in FO NV yourself, kudos to that, awesome game.
There is a discrepancy between my post and the graph. The graph was just an example from a game critic.MisterM2402 said:snip
