Uhm well it can be good to pass the time and I do enjoy it but it isn't the best thing in the world and I can notice why people don't like it.

This show is awkward and not funny. None of the characters are interesting at all. (This is all my opinion, obviously)

Big Bang Theory all the way. I also like certan episodes of Family Guy especially, like the show overall anyway.

I find if funny, sometimes. If it's on, and I'm bored, I'll watch/listen to it.
100% this.

Do you count things like Modern Family or the Office?

Anyway, it's an above average laugh-track sitcom, which means it only makes me want to kill the entire human race twice an episode, as opposed to the usual five.
The Office? Ugh that show is painful for me to watch.
Why, if I might ask?

It paints men in such a bad light that I can't stand it. The jokes are unoriginal, the stereotyping is so annoying as are the characters. I hope that they stop making it soon..

It is boring and am I wrong or is every episode basically about the same thing (I have only watched a few episodes)? Will watch it if I am at a friends house and he decides to watch it otherwise I will try to avoid it.

I'd wish they'd take it off the air and put something decent on, its a sub par sitcom and the fact they keep showing it all the times makes it worse well at least to me anyway, i know people who love it but i just can't really stand it.

It really is the bottom of the TV barrel. Everything about it is aimed squarely at the lowest common denominator. There's not a shred of originality or intelligent thought in the show. It treads no new ground and sticks firmly to what it, and its audience, already know; the same old jokes, the same old situations, the same old archtypes, the same old laugh tracks. There is nothing in this show that isn't recycled from dozens of other sitcoms from the last fifty years - all Two and a Half Men does is add a little extra vulgarity to it.

All that said, it's still one of the highest rated shows on TV and it probably brings in more money and viewers than your top five favourite shows combined. I can't say I blame them for sticking to what works if it keeps making money - after all, no one is forcing me to watch it.
DAMN! You hit the nail on the head so hard it got nailed to the fence on the other side. This show is another one of those shows that I see as a vehicle for the main characters acting career, in this case Charlie Sheen, its nothing original or special but is popular anyway. I view it as another one of those sitcoms like House of Payne, its just a generic sitcom.

Basically, Charlie Sheen is Jesus in this show, he's the one everyone wants to be, sure he does stupid things but they're all funny and not anything you wouldn't do, he gets a shitload of ladies, he's rich and nothing terrible happens to him. Then there's his brother, who just got out of a divorce where he lost everything and now has to live with Charlie, where he is constantly ridiculed and is the prime joke of the show. Then we have other characters like his son or the maid who are normal but all make fun of Charlie's brother.

This is so damn generic, on FX I would watch re-runs of good shows like Malcom In the Middle (the best sitcom EVER, it has none of the above and is a pioneer of good sitcoms) or That 70's Show (where they have a guy everyone makes fun of, but it always changes each episode everytime something happens). Sure there was the Bernie Mac Show which sucks, so when i saw that Two and A Half men coming onto the list of re-runs I thought it would replace the Bernie Mac Show because that show sucks, but no it just replaced That 70's Show.

Never once found it funny, and the main guy is a complete douchebag. I want to punch Charlie Sheen in the teeth. So, yeah, it's pretty sad that it's as popular as it is.

Spaced all the way. Yeah, it's been off the air for eight years and it only ran for two seasons, but it is the only sitcom that has ever been worth watching. Apparently it takes the genius of Edgar Wright to make the genre not completely suck.

Completely agree with you, it's kinda like the TV equivalency of McDonald's. It's always there, same recycled stuff over and over again, nothing of quality and critics despise it, and yet it brings in more money than anything else

It really isn't as bad as people make it out to be, though it has about as much bad as good.
It's old comedy fodder now, and anybody who jokes about it being bad is generally a hack.

It's OK, some funny moments, but it's more miss than hit. Alan annoys me a lot.

I love Frasier. Comedy Central usually does 2 1/2 Men reruns and Frasier. Frasier is nearly all quality. Would pick that any day.

It's an awful, show with characters who are nothing but singular punch lines, just like Chuck Lorre's other awful show, The Big Bang Theory. But hey, what's one to do within the confines of a CBS multicam sitcom. Nothing, because they're all awful.
