I never really liked live-action t.v. shows, or sitcoms. I don't have cable or t.v. access anymore, either; for that very reason. I hated Friends (and for awhile everyone who fawned over it, including my own sisters.) And most other t.v. shows of the same nature. In my opinion, it's nearly all garbage.
Each t.v show for 'adults', Two and a half Men, How I met Your Mother, every thing on the W.B.,FOX, NBC etc, are the equivalent of every silly sitcom they've ever thrown-up and handed us, by Disney and Nickelodeon. But they like to sprinkle it with sex jokes, that they think only 'adults' will be able comprehend and giggle at. They are all silly faced, overacting, over-exaggerated, audio laugh track shows. The only shows I could actually say I enjoyed, are Seinfeld, and every ones favorite love-to-hate show, 'Everybody Loves Raymond'.
What can I say? It actually had a pretty good cast (Peter Boyle & Doris Roberts, their chemistry was unmistakably good as an old married couple. They were my favorite part of the show). Except the concept of the show was repetitive, it's plot was immensely simple and easily relateable, which is probably the reason I enjoyed it. (R.I.P Peter Boyle, I'll never forget you as the Frankenstein, in Young Dr. Frankenstein. =D)
Then again, everything about entertainment and enjoying it, is opinion based. And you'll usually find yourself hard-pressed to 'convert' anyone from what they've already chosen to love or what appeals to them and brings them some sort of happiness.
