I think it's irrelevant now. It used to be something before everyone knew what it was, now it's a complete joke and it's exactly the same as any other message board out there. They sometimes do interesting (even good) things, but does anyone really care any more? I know I don't, it's worth checking out when you're bored, but not really my thing.

I find Youtube and The Esacpist forums to be more interesting; Ecsapist is interesting because there is almost always a decent thread up worth discussion and Youtube comments are never anything short of hilarious; just read the comments on a Justin Bieber video and you'll get plenty of laughs.

4chan is a necessary evil

How so?

4chan is there to take the scum that seems to fill the internet and put it in 1 place so that they will not bother websites (as much). i know some people would love to see 4chan gone but you just have to remember that if 4chan was wiped off the face of the earth on this day and was never revived, there would be a new site that would take its place.

am also so many great fun things have come from 4chan like most of the worlds memes

in my mind i truly love 4chan it helps me sleep at night knowing that the FBI only have to monitor 1 site
