I'll start with your off topic point- he already did a crossover with Unskippables. That's what he was referring to.Devias- said:Zero Punctuation isn't your favorite weekly video? Yahtzee usually isn't well informed, nor is he a philosophical person. Please, don't ruin my favorite weekly video on the Escapist, even if just for one week.
OT: Why do you say ZP and EC but mention 'Unskippables guy' in your opening post? Are they the same person? Personally, I would love to see Yahtzee doing an Unskippable, it'd be fun watching and hearing him mock a game.. oh wait, we hear that weekly already anyway. But no, not EC, I suspect I wouldn't like it.
Ah, that was harsh. I need tea to soothe my soul.ZeroMachine said:I'll start with your off topic point- he already did a crossover with Unskippables. Now, for your first point: I fucking hate Zero Punctuation.

The picture was meant to be in good humor. I hate Zero Punctuation myself, but it's far from my right to tell you or anyone else to stop enjoying it. It's just a retaliatory joke to your "Prepare for your demise!" comment. Don't worryDevias- said:Ah, that was harsh. Do you ever read his "extra punctuation" where he's a bit more serious and talks about the issues of gaming in general. Its actually remarkable similar to extra credits and he's been doing for a long time before they were around here.ZeroMachine said:Fuck no. Don't worry, I know, lol. All is in good humor on the Escapist. Unless you reply to one of those 'Marty McFlys' whenever a video has been released.ZeroMachine said:The picture was meant to be in good humor. I've read a couple, and like a couple of his points, but I gave up on it completely a while back after he (I can only assume) wrote it after a day of major drinking. He mentions in his article about video games some bullshit about love being some arbitrary and fake emotion.gyro2death said:Do you ever read his "extra punctuation" where he's a bit more serious and talks about the issues of gaming in general. Unskippable [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/unskippable/644-Star-Ocean-The-Last-Hope]
Zero Punctuation [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/645-Halo-Wars]
I'm going to have to disagree on the latter. Yahtzee isn't quite that scathing simply by nature. It's the style he effects for his videos. While he's still rather brutal in his Extra Punctuation reviews, it's a much different kind of scathing, and I certainly think he could manage a thoughtful chill review that would fit Extra Credits.BreakfastMan said:If it happened, it would be interesting to see indeed. I doubt that Daniel Floyd and co could actually savage a game as well as Yahtzee does though. They do not seem like the type. Nor do I think that Yahtzee would lend himself well to thoughtful videogame commentary.
Well, they were pretty harsh towards God of War III...gyro2death said:Haha! True, that could be a little awkward. Still especially with the level of designer knowledge I would like to see what they would critique about a game.drakythe said:This would be entertaining indeed. Though I'd bet the EC crew couldn't bring themselves to be as harsh as Yahtzee, seeing as they actually work in the industry and have stated before that it is a lot smaller than you might think, so the next time they saw someone who worked on the game they blasted things would be really awkward, and just think if James had to work _with_ that person.
