While I sometimes find myself agreeing with his points, I'd never actually use his videos when deciding whether to buy a game or not, therefore I don't really count him as a reviewer.
But I would call it both because he fairly points out every flaw. It is up to you to decide if those flaws are liveable or not. As opposed to focusing entirely on the good and then you buy the game and find huge gaping flaws that are deal-breakers for you, but you are now stuck with the game.....
I tend to disregard most of Yahtzee's actual review aspects mostly because I rarely agree with him unless it's something that's just a plain fact like Arkham Asylum's lack of autorun being stupid.
Yea... that is understandable.. but it is like the website pluggedin... I know EXACTLY what to expect to not like before I buy tickets to go see a movie, so I am never dissappointed because I am already expecting this and that. It is an analytical approach... I like it. But I understand why others wouldn't too.
Most of the time I agree, but only half the time does it change my mind due to being very liveable problems.... like Mirror's Edge... Great game in-spite of shortcomings IF you were expecting them before starting. I dunno tho. I am not a normal person...
