has anyone noticed the increasing amount zombie games... ie.
Left 4 dead
all the resident evil games
half life
Call of Duty: WaW (bows head in homage)
i also hear of a game being developed by Guillermo del Toro
were you fight through hell...

all this is to make a point...

our generation has a focus on zombies, by this i refer to
past generations of the super heroes, pirates, G.I. Joes and such..
i don't mean this as a complaint, i am simply commenting on how
our focus is on the struggle for life and death, a desire to for
a break from the norm.

so all this to ask, what is your take on all of this?
do you want a zombie apocalypse? (see poll)

This focus on death in popular culture is actually fairly unique to the US. But it's not new. UK went through the same thing back when they lost their empire. The theory is that this is how a nation deals with this form of large-scale spiritual death; the grief is expressed through reading Spawn comics and Baudelaire's poetry.

To answer on topic, no, any apocalypse would mess with my plans. But I don't think a zombie invasion is very likely.

Also, this: http://www.qwantz.com/archive/001376.html

PS. I won't answer the poll cause the answer I'd pick is spelled wrong. I can't stand behind the statement "Your all crazy". :p

I always thought zombie threads were a benchmark of how nerdy the people on a given forum are, since nerds are really the only people who take zombie discussions seriously for some odd reason.

That said, I have 30 different zombie plans, filed away in color-coded envelopes stashed under my dead in a hermetically sealed lock-box for convenience sake.

Sure, because using the logic of the dead being able to walk and eat, I would be able to shoot bees out of my hand and set fire to stuff without even thinking about it.

Actually, its kinda(what am I saying?!), its really stupid to want a Zombie Apocalypse. Key word: Apocalypse, end of days. Plus things aren't so simple without a healthbar and save points. An army buddy of mine explained it to me: Wanting a zombie invasion is like wanting a war, they both seem cool and fun in concept, but seriously wanting one is of an ignorant and deviant mind (Yes he talks like that, he reads alot and pretty articulate for a G.I.).

People talking about the "End of the Zombie Era" remember, everythings circular. America goes through phases of liking Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves,Ghosts, etc. Every decade we trade out one for a while and trade back later (some of it might also have to do with political/social conditions as well).
