ive been using a 2g creative zen stone mp3 player which cost £20 form hmv, but my mac isnt detecting it anymore and its making a rattling noise, so i think im gonna have to get an ipod, much as i dislike them, but i dont know enough about the zune to get one.

I hate the Ipod (because I think the sound options are way too limited) and I've never really tried the Zune because I've always stuck to Creative Labs. I started out with the Zen Micro, then moved to the Zen Vision M and now I own a Creative Zen (yeah, now it's just Zen). Creative products tend to have excelent sound customization options and sound quality which are the most important things to me when it comes to MP3 players.
I too was a Creative user through and through (followed them since the NOMAD) until I decided to buy a Zune a month ago. Honestly, the sound quality is the best I've ever heard from any mp3 player (and I've had quite a few). It doesn't have a customisable EQ though, which kinda sucks.. But apart from that its really, really good. Awesome battery life as well :)

I use a sony ericson W300i with a 256mb memory stick... It fits good for me because I don't need to bring something extra in my pockets and the memory size is enough for my favourite music...

PS if you didn't get it Im using a cellphone.

I'm pretty much Steve Jobs love monkey.

Had the 2nd Gen Ipod. Got stolen from my locker at school (back in the day when they were Mac only)
Got a photo ipod (about a week before the videopod was announced. Stupid Mitz -.-)
Changed that for a 80gig.

Downgraded for a more portable ipod Nano. Can barely fit all my music, but I only listen to Jazz and Amy Winehouse these days so it's not that bad.

Can barely stand my boyfriend's Creative. The abomination of something that resembles a clickwheel but not really is frustrating to navigate.

I have a Samsung T10, best $100 I've ever spent. Only 4GB, but it's $30 cheaper than a similar-sized 3GB iPod Nano. It has high-quality voice recording and can play video. The menu and interface are customizable, and it's very sleek. It also has a radio function but that's just eh. The only disadvantage is that its cant play protected iTunes music, but you can use the savings to buy Sound Taxi and be able to actually freely use your music. Who wants Apples shit DRM contaminating their music?

2GB Phillips

I felt iPods and Zunes are both way overpriced. iTunes is overrated (and bloatware).
