at the executive level sure, I'd tend to agree, but i'm talking about the 9-5erszehydra said:I don't think "good people" were working at Zynga.Lunar Templar said:this is only 'bad' because good people could lose they're jobs

EA can often be very harsh to the developers/programmers that they employ. There's quite a few horror stories out there, though IIRC they have been improving. They both make awful games, but Zynga just tends to rip concepts off of other people.geK0 said:Seems pretty fitting for a company who's business model consisted only of delivering minimal value trying to maximize revenue by hoping customers would pay them money for nothing. Why do people consider EA worse than Zynga again? At least EA puts some effort (and a lot of money) into their product : \

I remember an episode of Extra Credits discussing that issue, but I don't exactly remember what it is, or how it applies to Farmville.
indeed, people need to realise some people just do the work without all the highlevel sketchey evilnessLunar Templar said:at the executive level sure, I'd tend to agree, but i'm talking about the 9-5erszehydra said:I don't think "good people" were working at Zynga.Lunar Templar said:this is only 'bad' because good people could lose they're jobs

I see this sentiment a lot whenever some big horrible shady corporation goes bust, and I simply don't agree. Every job is not a defensible, necessary thing, and just because corporatization allows people to work for horrible companies without feeling attached or responsible doesn't mean they aren't. If you're willing to work for a billion+ dollar company with virtually no local accountability, you shouldn't be so surprised when you get put through the wash.Seriously, it's terrible that more hardworking people may lose their jobs.
