Popular games - GoW3, ME2... etc

Am I actually the only one that isn't totally hyped by those big games, to me ME2 looks like crap, and GoW3 well, nothing special really... Why is there all this hype? And btw I own a Ps3 and a PC, could get both games, no fanboy, in fact, I think the best games this year is multiplat. Like Bioshock 2, RDR etc...

Am I the only one? Cuz seriusly, I think most of them who get hyped for the big exclusives is just cuz they're exclusives! To me those games are just like the old ones with some new features, atleast GoW3 got better graphics from the others but still. Tell me whats so special about these big games. There is more but lets start out with these two examples.

No i think ME2 looks just as boring as the first to be honest. I'm most looking forward to FFXIII and Red Dead Redemption.

There's a lot of hype over those two because there's a lot of people that like those games, you and some won't exactly feel the same way about it.

Don't think it has to be with being exclusives unless weren't talking about console fantards starting most the hype in spite of the other system...0o

I'm not because I didn't like Mass Effect and I don't own a console for God of War 3.

People are excited about them because they liked the previous games, it's all a matter of taste and choice.

You know what. I'm more looking forward to FFXIII I preordered it, because I've never played a Final Fantasy before, and everyone's telling me to. The only Console JRPG I've ever played is Skies of Arcadia

Well I loved Mass Effect 1, and as such I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 2.

Not Mass Effect 3 though, everyone knows how trilogies end... Horrible.

Well, clearly it's to do with how you personally feel about the games.

I can't tell you why I'm so excited for Mass Effect 2 because I try and avoid every video I can that involves it. That's no small task considering all the dev-diaries, trailers and gameplay reveals they keep throwing at every gaming site I frequent. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I absolutely loved Mass Effect and am just dying to see how the story develops?

As for GoW3, I tried playing the first two GoW games on my PS2 the other day. They just didn't do it for me. The gameplay was a little too numb and mashy for my tastes. I'm much more of a Ninja Gaiden/Devil May Cry hack'n'slasher.

Personally, I'm exited as hell for the games, but I can see why others wouldn't be.

You're opinion is not that special; it never has, it isn't now and it never will be. Also most sequels have better graphics, the only reason is it looks so much better is because God Of War II was one of the last ps2 games and it's taken a while to make the next one.

I am looking forward to Mass Effect 2 because I found the first game to be one of the best games, on any platform, this generation. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's "crap". Personally I think Bioshock 2 looks like "crap" and is just "more of the same", and that RDR looks terrible - I've never liked Wild West games, but I don't go around sprouting my opinions to people, making up new threads to clog the forums with your worthless opinion.

Nice...so now anyone who likes a game that's exclusive is automatically a fanboy...never mind the fact that exclusive games may well be better than mutli-plat graphics wise because the game has been optimized for that machine, never mind the fact the gameplay / storyline might be better than the vast majority of other games the person has played - nope, if you like it and it's exclusive, you're a fanboy...

After the end of God of War II, I was like "oh sh*t son" and then proceeded to wait for the next installment of God of War.

And I thought Mass Effect was a great game, so it seems logical to buy Mass Efect 2

I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 2 because it sounds like it's using the absolutely insane Assassin's Creed II method, otherwise known as "Actually addressing the first game's problems in order to make an actually improved sequel". And I liked the first game, so I'll probably like the second.

God of War III, though, I have pretty much no interest in. I played the first game and Chains of Olympus and I was quite bored by both. It just felt like the games expected you to excuse their mediocre gameplay because of the excessive blood and gore.

But I think the best game to be excited about right now is Heavy Rain. We need more original games like that (/bit of irony).

I'm kind of waiting on God of War 3, I remember WAYYYY back when David Jaffe said that he had an idea that was so fucking hardcore for the last level of the game that'll kick your faces asshole.(This is David Jaffe, creator of mythological badassery)

Well now that he left SCEA I wonder if his super badass idea will ever come to light. Who knows?

Well I am a sci-fi and RPG freak so Mass Effect is right up my street. I love mythology and fighting/beat'em'up games so God of War is also up there. For no other reasons.
