Most people by that age would have at least seen porn if not actively searched for it. Its everywhere.

Well what do they mean "watched porn". I mean, you can just stumble upon porn just casually browsing the net and lose your "porn virginity". I'm willing to bet a overwhelming majority of internet users intentionally watch porn, both men and women.
That's touching boob dude, unless you watch a video or two you're still a porn virgin.

OT: I can imagine it'd be difficult to find enough people to conduct that study, even if there were people who hadn't watched porn yet they wouldn't be in large numbers.

They didn't go far enough. They just need a community with no internet access, and restrictions on purchases of adult magazines, and they should find at least one kid who's not in the know.

Of course, that's probably more common in Australia than Canada.
Well, here's the thing, that'd mean there were far more differences in culture other than not watching porn. What they were looking for is a fair comparison between those that did, and those that didn't. With no internet comes a lot of social differences, and that'd affect the fairness of the comparison.

One idea could be to say instead of having ever watched porn, asking how often someone does it. That way, people who don't usually watch it for whatever reason would become the "virgin" group.

There are so many ways for people to consume porn these days. Whether it be pictures, videos, stories, webcams, whatever. There's something for everyone.

I lost mine when i was around 6 i guess, just surfing through the channels and boom porn! My guess is that only people who avoid any type of visual media could be 'porn virgins'.

I don't think they looked hard enough. I mean, going on the internet basically guarantees exposure (pun intended) but if you haven't been on the internet ever and live in an isolated area I miagine it would be hard to find. If the worst comes to the worst, there are African communities who haven't even had contact with the outside world yet. I'm willing to bet they haven't got access.

People are saying that areas with no access to Internet contain people that have never seen porn.

But are we not counting porn magazines as source of porn? Or porn movies? Non-Internet sources do exist as well.

Although, I suppose that the Amish are a good candidate. I guess nobody in the study thought of asking them.

I have never consumed porn, but not for the sake of trying. It was a long time ago and half way through I started choking on the magnetic tape from the VHS cassette.

For sure. In some more rural parts of Australia, there's a more limited connection to the net, so they'd be able to get a sample for both I imagine, but in more developed areas, espcially more urbanised places, they'd have trouble finding places culturally similar with different access to pornography. And now I'm charting porn geographically. I've overthunk this.

Well, not males ones apparently.

University of Montreal researchers wanted to compare the attitudes of non-porn watchers to regular viewers.

But researcher Professor Simon Louis Lajeunesse told the Daily Telegraph they simply couldn't find any.

"We started our research seeking men in their twenties who had never consumed pornography. We couldn't find any," he said.
Source: http://www.metro.co.uk/news/802879-porn-virgins-do-not-exist-claim-scientists

After reading that I got a bit curious. Did they just not look hard enough, or does access to the internet guarantee porn usage? At least for men. So, query: Are there any men on the Escapist in their twenties or older who've never watched porn?
They're looking in the wrong places.

Try Ethiopia, better luck there.

Better hurry up with your study bro, else they'll all be gone. Seriously, it's practically instinct.

That's a rather depressing thought. Although I suppose with the Internet you're going to find it sooner or later whether you intend to or not.

WHY YOU THINK THE NET WAS BORN?
Porn, porn, porn.

And I love that skit. Mainly just adding that to avoid low content warning, but it is a good one.

Try a flash drive. It's far easier on the digestive tract and can hold much more.

I think we're onto something here. Chances are you'll find a suspicious overlap between people who never watched porn, and blind ones.
Ahh, but have they ever heard porn(you know what i mean -_-)?

Not here. I'm not a porn hound by any stretch, though. Pretty much all my exposure is due to Google searches gone horribly, horribly wrong.

I actually do know a guy who has never watched porn. He's a pretty religious guy, so he avoids it at all costs.

Asexuals? Maybe? Hell, I dunno...
I'm certainly not a porn virgin >.>
I'm asexual and even I've seen some porn. Lol.
Okay I keep seeing this term misused. Unless you have no sexual organs, you are not asexual. I am sorry, I just keep seeing this and you happened to be the one I popped on.

OT: Most likely you would have to go to a third world country, or to the amish to find male porn virgins. I am sure that some exist in America, but outside of religious communities it would be impractical to try to find one.
