Portable Hard Drive Problem

I have had my portable hard drive (Apollo 25 PHDD-250GB) for a few years now and it works absolutely fine on my laptop and old pc but it doesn't on my new computer. I know the USB slots work because I have used them before but whenever I plug in my PHD nothing happens on the computer, at all. The light on on the PHD does light up though.

Any idea what is going on?

So it's confirmed to work on your old machines (and still does) but not on your new one? Try pre-installing any drivers it may need first.

Check to see if the male and female USB inserts seems to be ok as in not bent or deformed and try different USB slots.

With the ones that seem the most "successful", re-insert the USB in gently/harder.
