No single player free expansion this summer like Valve promised?

I'm not surprised.

The least they could do is get the map editor finished, but this is Valve we are talking about.

Seriously, Valve has been sucking ass. They haven't released a 'full' game since 2004, and more than half the games released on STEAM are shit. I'm really getting fed up with them.

If I was a multiplayer type, I probably wouldn't feel this way. But I'm not, so I do.

'Full' game meaning a single player experience more than 5 hours.
This is the DLC. "DLC will also introduce a "Challenge Mode" for both single-player and co-op play". And no, no one ever said they were expanding the main story before you try and make that distinction.

"more than half the games released on STEAM are shit."

Does this refer to Valve-only games, or what? Complaining other people's games sold in a store "are shit" is rather pointless.

"They haven't released a 'full' game since 2004"

Well if you do insist on implementing a retarded definition of what constitutes a "full" game, then no, they haven't. Although Portal 2's single-player is longer than 5 hours anyway.

was hoping for some SP levels. dont play the coop mode. but well, i guess the challenge mode will do fine.
Me too. Never even tried the co-op, because I don't have Steam-friends.
well a) you missed out the best challenges
b) they have an automatic partner finder. so really no excuse :p
Well after having "great experiences" with the dungeon finder in WoW (people leaving before the end, a lot of n00b-calling and a lot of frustrations) I'm not so psyched about automatic partner finders.

So this means we'll get it next Friday? Anyway, I and my friend can't wait until we'll be able to kill each other in co-op again.
Also, you forgot to mention that there comes a neat little comic with the music.

So THAT's why the Turrets can sing. Neat.

I'm super excited about the Soundtrack too. It finally has the ending song and the Turret song. It doesn't have "Exile Vilify" which was in one of the rooms off a test chamber, but I suppose Valve didn't really write that one so giving it away for free probably has issues attached.

Valve thinks that people enjoy co-op gameplay? Even the much hated by the industry 'couch co-op'. Truly they are mad. No one wants to play co-op anymore. They all want to buy separate copies of the same game to shoot each other.

This will never work

You were saying...?
I think Valve has proven themselves enough that they are perfectly capable of making it worth the wait.
