Will it be 'I can play only some' levels alone I guess?

Wouldnt blame you for not knowing this but Microsoft made a game called Shadowrun. The only special thing about this game is that it had a cross-platform multiplayer that encouraged PC gamers and 360 gamers to fight to the death. Alas due to the aiming superiority of the PC gamers, which was so bad that low skill PC gamers could decimate the most skilled console gamers, Microsoft eventually just dropped the cross-platform section and the game faded into history.Drummie666 said:Yahoo! Not to mention all the L4D updates and TF2 and stuff. They are a very generous company.Netrigan said:Valve has pretty much given XBL the middle finger based on the policy of allowing only a small percentage of free DLCs. Valve being a company quite generous with free DLC, such as giving away a HL2 level that they created as a tech demo... damn fine level, too.GiantRaven said:But not 360?
Well ps3 owners can choose to use a dualshock, a mouse and keyboard, or Move. I hear Move and wii m+ are actually more accurate than gamepads once you get accustomed. Options will level the playing field a bit, because ps3 owners have the option, Pc gamers can't always write them off.Xzi said:Right. I said it would work for Portal just fine because there's not a lot of exact aiming involved. They try to throw cross-platform co-op on any traditional FPS, though, and PC gamers would get pissed at their PS3 brethren real fast. "PC Only" servers would end up being the norm, so at that point there's little purpose in including that cross-platform play.
There is singleplayer main storyline and co-op main storylineSober Thal said:Don't hate me for my ignorance and laziness, but can you play all of portal 2 single player, or is all co-op??

While most would use a dualshock, after seriously getting my ass kicked, even though i prefer a controller i would probably have to try something else. Sony has sold quite a few moves so far, and depending on the year goes, if the advantage given to Move owners becomes apparent and significant its install base will increase in order to compete(people love winning against other people). Sadly by the time this happens, if this happens, Portal 2 would have been out(if it does happen i wouldn't expect Move to hit its stride until after the release of killzone 3). Eh, just thoughts and words.Xzi said:Well if they play with a mouse and keyboard nobody would be able to tell the difference, but I don't imagine many PS3 owners would go that route just to please people online, do you? Most will stick with the gamepad, as that's one of the reasons they bought a console to begin with.
They havn't dropped cross platform support, I still often play it with my cousin who plays on 360 and I play on Pc. Unless this is recent news that I havn't seen.gigastar said:Wouldnt blame you for not knowing this but Microsoft made a game called Shadowrun. Okay, yeah... not sure why I didn't think of that problem before. Multiplayer probably should probably stick to just them selves. Though maybe 360 to PS3 might work. Though that might just end up giving wind to the console flame-war. Ok, screw cross-platform multiplayer.gigastar said:Wouldnt blame you for not knowing this but Microsoft made a game called Shadowrun. 2 different stories. The single player you play as Chell and in the Co-op you play as a modified Personality Core and a Turret.Sober Thal said:Don't hate me for my ignorance and laziness, but can you play all of portal 2 single player, or is all co-op??

I hope that would be true... Then I could play Mafia II and GTA IV on my PS3...smearyllama said:Steam.
On my PS3.
Does this mean I can play Oblivion GOTY on the PS3, since I own it for PC?
Sunovabitch.
They've said the single player will be about twice as long as the first game, as well as the co-op being about the same length as that. So it's good either way.Sober Thal said:So, correct me if I am wrong here... Valve still isn't going to give me a full single player game? I can only get half a game again?!?!
No.gigastar said:If full Steam is coming to PS3 does this mean I can buy one platform version but then get both?
well, either way, cross-platform play between PS3 and PC/Mac will be great, now I'll be able to play against my PC Elitist friends and rub the cross-platforming in the CoD Frag-heads(which is nearly half my year)fecesLightOfDarkness said:No.gigastar said:If full Steam is coming to PS3 does this mean I can buy one platform version but then get both?
Steamworks is the infrastructure behind Steam. Steam is the client.
