Yeah, but it's always been a family thing. They probably don't want to have to separate the toys for adults and the ones for children.Vault101 said:why does it have to be apropriate for kids? mable adults like lego too

You use your imagination, that's how. :^)saintdane05 said:Problem: How will the Aperture Science Handheld Portal device work? Did they create actual dimensional gates for our toys to leap through?
Right? I would take that over Justin Bieber any day of the week. Not G. Ivingname said:Lego, how could Portal not be for kids?
It is only about a girl trying to dodge acid pits, bullet spewing turrets, and many other hazards set up by a psycho computer who literally is getting high from your suffering.
Because Lord of the Rings is a good family friendly movie for all ages.uneek said:Yeah, but it's always been a family thing. My nephew has official Halo lego, and he's 8 years old, and Halo is an FPS... come on people of Lego.Andy Chalk said:The idea was originally rejected by the Lego people because it's based on an FPS,
Since when is Halo for kids mr Lego mens?, I mean the Alien weapons look like they were designed by Fischer Price but the ends of them deal out searing hot pain.Andy Chalk said:because the source material isn't appropriate for kids.
Firefly wasn't because the show is more of a teen focus, with the raping pillaging plundering reavers.Don Savik said:They already shut down the Serenity and Shaun of the Dead sets that already got enough support. I bet lego will think of some bullshit excuse to not make this either.
I like the concept of lego cusoo, but lego doesn't take it seriously.
I recall the days of just having a big tub of lego blocks - 2x4s, 4x4s, 2x8s etc - and creating all sorts of cool things. Imagination admittedly played a big part in it and some of my creations took a lot of persuasion ("No, look, if you hold it like this it does kind of look like a pirate ship, see?") but I was happy.Aardvaarkman said:Even though I grew up loving Lego, this Lego-fication of everything is just getting insane. What ever happened to plain old Lego bricks? Why does everything have to be themed?
There are no official LEGO Halo. it's a competitor that makes Halo building sets and they are eager to get it mentioned as LEGO even though it is certainly not.DigitalSushi said:My nephew has official Halo lego, and he's 8 years old, and Halo is an FPS... come on people of Lego.Andy Chalk said:The idea was originally rejected by the Lego people because it's based on an FPS,
the Pelican is almost the size of my dog. (takes four hours to build one wing too, kids break stuff, most of my Saturday afternoons are spent building the bloody thing)

You know, just like their new Lord of the Rings sets! And Pirates of the Caribbean sets!... which presumably violates the company's insistence that all sets, regardless of their intended "age target," must also be suitable for its core audience of children aged 6 to 11.
I've seen Halo "Lego-sets" myself, however, it wasn't Lego, it was megabloks.
