(This thread may contain spoilers on Portal, Portal 2 or possibly the Half Life games. Proceed with caution, or better yet, go and play them then come back)
So, with the first big piece of Portal 2 information out there I thought it was time it got it's own thread. This is for your thoughts on Portal 2, story speculation, ideas for gameplay, new information on Portal 2 and, eventually, what your thoughts are on the actual game are after having a go.
To start this off here are the Game Informer Scans;

And what we know so far;
-There will be two campaigns, one single player and one is a two player co-op campaign. Both have their own independ but seemingly interconnected storys.
-The single player takes place centuries are Portal and the Half Life universe. It is unclear if co-op mode does too. This means that Aperture Science has changed a lot; sections of it have become over grown and jungle like and some of GLaDoS's memory cores have set up their own little sections of the lab as their own.
-In single player you still play as Chell. Presumably after being dragged away she was placed in cryo genic sleep or she's a clone. Her outfit has changed (personlly I prefer the prison look) but she still has the same way with words as Gordon.
-In multiplayer you and a friend play as two robots; an adapted memory core and an adapted turret. It is not yet clear if they have personalities but Valve talks about one being female and one male. We also know they like holding hands but it's suggested this is a sign of innocence rather than fan fic inspiring stuff, so they may have the personalities of children.
-In multiplayer both players will have control of both portals; thats 4 portals in total! If you thought this shit was confusing and mind bending before you havn't seen nothing. The game is going to be a lot harder (and fustrating) in this mode where you'll cordinate firing portals between the two of you. I forsee many fallings out over in this mode. There is no news on whether this can be played with an AI partner (though I somehow doubt it).
-There have been several new puzzle solving devices added; apparently ValvE are putting more enthirsise on physics this time. Some of them arn't completely clear, but then again as anyone who's tried to explain Portal to someone who hasn't played knows we probably won't fully understand till we play. The new additions include:
-Ariel Faith Plates (jump pads)
-Thermal Discouragement Beam (a lazer, you can use trasparent weight storage cubes to redirect the beam)
-Pneumatic Diversity Vent (basically the cube transport tubes have been intergrate into the puzzles and can suck up objects. [i/]""Passive monitoring" ensures objects in vents are identified, but never judged"[/i])
-Excursion Funnel (It...Look, this one is impossibly to explain, it took me awhile to get in when looking at the diagram. Click the third scan down)
-GLaDoS is still alive. And it seems her dialogue is as brilliant as ever.
"Oh, it's you. It's been a long time. How have you been? I've really busy being dead. You know...after you murdered me? Okay look, we both said a lot of things that you are going to regret. But I think we should put our differences behind us. For science. You monster."
There's also signs of a another important AI called "Cave Johnson" (I think) who has the mind and memorys of the former head of Aperture Science. He might just be a minor villain or he's possibly the main bad guy in co-op mode (just speculation).
So, any thoughts, theorys, wild imaginings or hopes?
