It would really depend on the portal though...

You could just seal the earth-portal in a air-sealed room. No "problems" with atmosphere would follow through then...

In the game, things didn't really move through the portal until they were lightly pushed through.
If anything, it would be air rushing from earth to the moon (I think), but maybe nothing as the portal field would be self contained.

Just a theory.

If there was a leak, I don't think the moon has a high enough escape velocity to prevent the random movement of the air molecules from escaping.
