Surprise, this is roughly what you think it is. Once more surprise, this is not a fallout thread.
This is generally an open ended question about what you would do in a realistic setting after the fall of humanity, and so the setting itself:
You wake up in a hospital bed, wires cover your body, tubules puncture your right arm containing fluids. You look to your left and the monitor displaying your heartbeat is on the floor, most likely tipped up, yet it is still steadily bleeping.
You see a security guard on the floor outside the room, his face is obscured from view yet his belt obviously contains a torch and holstered gun, among other things.
This can take place in your home country and town in your own culture.
Main points are:
-Everyone is dead, the bodies still litter the streets, most of the food is not out of date yet, and shops are left open as they would?ve been in the day.
-Animals are still around and will quickly be drawn to free meat.
-There is nobody, you are all alone, try to come up with realistic things you will have to attend to.

The main question is what do you do in the short and long term?
Don't forget about health and safety concerns!!

Well, even though your scenario would actually never happen, I would:

* Unplug my shit, hope I don't die
* Get torch and gun (I assume security guard is dead too?)
* Raid supermarket, get food, water, backpack, matches
* Happy hunting

Long-term, well, that would depend on what killed all those other people.

By the way, how would I even know if everyone was dead if I were alone in a hospital ward?

My main curiosity would be reasons why I was intubated, and questioning if it would be safe to remove them, even if there were no other humanity. Docs don't just plug you up like a fuse box because they feel like it.

Well if its a given that everyone else is dead. (assuming you could somehow know that) what would be the point of living?

Im not so much worried about other people for species continuation, but without the ability to make someone elses life miserable, I just dont see the point.

Cautiously explore. See if I could fine any sign of life at all. If the whole mainland of Europe isn't flooded with flesheating zombies, I might try to get a boat across the channel to see what Britain's like, it might be unaffected. If I somehow figured out that everyone on the planet but me were actually dead (internet might still work for the first few days if all the procedures required to run it are left intact?), I'd prolly take the gun and attempt to shoot myself.

Get out and live life. Maybe explore places I couldn't do before (Like a Military Base). Also, I'd always be on the look out for others who survived. (Though you said there were none, I'd still look)

Short term concerns #1 and 2 would be clothing & shelter. After that comes a reliable source of fresh water & a food supply. Fuel & transportation would be targets of opportunity.

Long term I'd really have only one concern - making contact with other survivors and joining them. I know myself, I'm no crazy badass. I wouldn't make it long without support from others, so once my immediate situation was stable I'd probably spend most of my time & effort trying to find a radio, or signal flares, or trips looking for evidence of campsites etc.

By the time it comes to health & safety, basic precautions are going to have to do. My first aid is limited to band-aids and tylenol, and I haven't held a firearm in years. No sense searching for equipment that's only useful in a scenario where I'm already screwed.
