Indochine, a french band that's been around since the early eighties. Their music has evolved quite a bit over the time.

here is their most famous hit from the eighties, "l'aventurier"

...and here is another song from one of their more recent albums, "paradize"

There's some old, old Dominia stuff in Russian that's pretty awesome too but it's not on Youtube.

EDIT: Oh, okay. Turns out someone posted one of their old Russian songs on Youtube a week ago.
Even metal fanatics have to love the non-metal part of that song.
Very long part, mind. Takes up the majority of the song. 'Fact only the last few minutes of it are metal. But still. Great song.

(While their old stuff is awesome, their newer stuff is even better. Check out their Divine Revolution album. It's godlike.)

Deichkind - German hip hop/electro.

Seeed - German reggae/hip hop/dancehall.

De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig - Dutch feel-good pop/hip hop.

Omega - Hungarian Pink Floyd'esque rock.

Well, there is already a bunch of German stuff, but here I go:

Eisbrecher:

As most here already is rock/metal/folk, I searched some non-metal music:

Peter Fox (The official German summer music. Seriously, as soon as the sun comes out, you hear it everywhere!)

Aaaah, there already is some Deichkind. This Thread wouldn't have been complete without it.
So for all you fantasy folks: Corvus Corax. They contributed to game soundtracks, too. (I know they were part of the soundtrack of Gothic III and I've read something about them interpreting the Dragon Age theme...)

These guys are japanese, but I didn't find out about them just because of the fact, I was actually doing some research on power trios and these guys came up. Think like an ever so slightly more progressive version of Motorhead:

Have you heard any of their super experimental stuff?
Check out Absolutego+. It's probably some of the finest (and most horrific) drone I have ever heard.

There are endless amounts of fantastic non-English-speaking music, but my big love is Françoise Hardy [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fran%C3%A7oise_Hardy].

She was known to sing in both German and Spanish, as well.

Now, add to that that she's 67 this year and looks like this...

...and I'll think you'll agree life is patently unfair in its distribution of loveliness.

This is a very underrated and not very well-known Danish band called ENTAKT. Their lyrics are quite poetic and very heavy on plays on words and symbolism, but the music and especially the singer's voice can be enjoyed regardless of nationality.

This is a fan-made video (I hope, since it kinda sucks), but the song is pretty sweet.

Oh man, I listen to a lot of foreign music, but here's some stuff from my library at random:

99 Luftballoons [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64xUPzhy4KQ] - Nena
Die Roboter [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQrb85O3HQA] - Kraftwerk
Αναγνώριση [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BELSK0yhM2Q] - Stereo Mike // Anagnorisi - Stereo Mike
Туда [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j4zstben_w] - Михей и Джуманджи // Tuda - Mihey i Jumanji
DotA [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_cCsFU6pak] - Basshunter
Vivir para Contarlo [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_cCsFU6pak] - Doble V
Moskau [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQAKRw6mToA] - Dschingis Kahn
Moskau [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeErZ6zU3SA] - Rammstein
Engel [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KQC0lEsdss] - Rammstein

And, I have a hard time believing nobody's posted this yet (I haven't read through the whole thread)
One Winged Angel [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yn71hIsm0U8] - 植松伸夫 // One Winged Angel - Uematsu Nobuo

I would say the entirety of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, but that doesn't really count, since only part of the fourth movement is in German. Also, if we were including J-Pop and anime, then 風は未来に吹く (Kaze wa Mirai ni Fuku) and 雪、無音、窓辺にて (Yuki, Muon, Madobe ni te).
