My favorite song for a long time now.

(seriously how do I embed videos)
The code is [ youtube= ]

Between the = and the ] you have to put the part of a youtube url after http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

Take the URL and remove everything before the word "youtube". Like this youtube.com/watch?v=xiEDIrFj3Cs Then remove everything between the word "youtube" and the = Like this youtube=xiEDIrFj3Cs Then put a [ before the word "youtube" and a ] at the very end. [/quote
Haruhi. Well check this out:

Ruslana from the Ukrain is pretty good. The best of her songs have also been redubbed in English, but they are not as good. And I take it you don't mean instrumental music, since those can be very good.

Two metal bands I like one who's Italian and one who's German.

German

Italian (Although the lyrics are in English, so not sure if it fits the theme of this thread)

No Japanese stuff? Then I am at a loss.
If you like anime well, here's one:

Otherwise, here's some great j-rock/indie stuff.

And my personal favourite band...

Despite the OP clearly stating "No anime opening/OST", half of the posts are... I find it sad that any attempt to try something unusual always ends up overidden by those who can be bothered to read or respect what the thread is about, but want to post in it anyway.

Bleh!

I give you some great swedish music. Markus Krunegård. The song is called "The whole life was a disco" or something. it is a lot of lyrics, and that is what i love about him

to make a spoiler, you type [_spoiler_] (your stuff goes here) [_/spoiler_] without the _
to embed a youtube video, just type [_youtube=XXXXXXX_], where XXXXX is what is after the v= in the youtbe link, in your case JH8gtdDA5x0

Latcho Drom's - La verdine. Unfortunately, the only copy seems to be the Mafia version.

Can't beat classic opera of course, especially when song by Pavarroti:
I wasn't sure if classical was an option... I was thinking of the obvious 'Ode to Joy', of course in German. The *ahem* GREATEST PIECE ever written! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq-3B6xfNpY&feature=related
And then for something a bit more modern, there is the Icelandic band which i have not seen mentioned yet 'Sigur Ros'... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2opPAo-FAe4&feature=fvst
