I agree completely, especially with the music or, to go deeper, the Goldeneye sound [http://forums.kingdomofloathing.com/vb/archive/index.php/t-110557.html]. That one single sound that has become synonymous with 'Goldeneye' (It's pretty interesting to try and trace it's origins and other soundtracks it's been used in). Eat your heart out Halo, this is fucking awesome video game music half a decade before anyone even knew who Master Chief was.
Goldeneye got the things right that are timeless, the FEEL of things, that come through in the music, the sound effects, the progression and scale.
But yeah, Goldeneye is a fantastic game, it's a shame that it's gameplay isn't as good as the standards today.
