Post-PSX Crash Bandicoot

I was rummaging through my pile of old games yesterday and found Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. remembering what a fantastic game this was, i decided to dust off my ps2 and give it a spin. game was even better than i had remembered it being 10+ years ago.

I haven't played any of the Crash-Bandicoot games after Warped, so i was wondering if any of the newer titles are good, or any in particular that are actual worth playing.

I probably won't play any of them, because i've already got a huge backlog of games to play at the moment, but if someone can convince me otherwise, i'll give it a try.

I thought crash badicoot the wrath of cortex was pretty good despite the gimmicky flying levels. other than that though i haven't played any of the other recent crash badicoots but i hear from many people they are terrible and nothing like the old ones at all.

The new ones are so bad compared to the old ones it will act as an anti-nostalgia and ruin your childhood.

The Wrath of Cortex was pretty good.I'd stay away from Crash Twinsanity though,I thought it was a horrible game.

I loved Crash 3. It didn't have quite as good an end boss as the second, but the worlds, styles and gameplay were phenomenal. Motorbikes, Jet-Skis, dinosaur chases, bazookas, ice levels, man that game had it all.

I would advise against trying newer versions, they'll destroy your great memories of the franchise. I remember my friend buying a new one and us sitting there playing a shitty game which was separated by loading screens that took up to 2 minutes. Yes, it was a horrible experience.

The original trilogy is absolutely solid though. I'd advise you try the second ans first part if you haven't already.

Crash games on the PS1 (with the exception of Crash Bash) were awesome, especially Warped. The first was a good game, the second improved on basically every aspect and the third improved on that.

Crash Team Racing was a great kart racing game, good vareity of tracks, near perfect controls and a good amount of replay value if you were going for all the relics/coins/gems.

Alas, Naughty Dog said farewell to Crash and after the OK Wrath of Cortex, it all went to the dogs. Sadly not Naughty Dog [sub]Ba-zing[/sub]

I enjoyed Crash Team Racing and Crash Bash more than the main series.

Some people say they liked Crash Bash too, but it's basically just a load of minigames.
I wouldn't recommend anything other than the PS1 games though, some earlier PS2 games are playable but it's not really worth the risk.

Post-PS1 Crash? Um... I think I played one... I don't think it was very good though. It's kinda like the Spyro series; it all went downhill after the PS1

Then again they went and made Jak and Daxter and all was well.

Stick with the PS versions and keep the idea that Crash Bandicoot was awesome forever till the end in Warped.
