If JRPGs have one strength above most other genres, it's that the soundtracks are nearly always EXCELLENT. Even if the game isn't that good, you can usually count on your ears not being hurt (outside of some shitty voicework from time-to-time) by the music like some Youtube "MW2 Headshot Rampage" video or whatever...

So post your favorite/memorable/personal best songs from a JRPG OST...And remixes are fine, too!

I am so glad I got the soundtrack CD with the Dreamcast version of Grandia 2. Back before digital music libraries were the big thing. ^_^


Title of the track kinda creeps me out...Didn't learn the name of the track until this morning.

This was my first ever RPG, and the game that fueled my addiction throughout the JRPG filled PS1/PS2 era. It's slowed to a near halt in recent years, do to me opening up to other genres (like shooters and hack n slash) and not having the dedication to play one 60 hour JRPG in the same time span that I could beat 6 or 7 other games.

But yeah... Final Fantasy XIII soundtrack. It's funky.

I liked some stuff from Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 as well, but can't think of any good examples right now.
When I think Kingdom Hearts 2, I can't help but think of the Atlantica world and... ugh, gives me shivers...

I have other games two, like the Shadow Hearts Series( The best rpg series of all time. Nothing you say or show can prove me wrong. Trust me, I'm an expert.), The Mother series, The Dragon Quest series, and the Disgea series, but lets safe that for a later date...and I'm too lazy.

Any DS RPG maybe, but the Castlevania DS games' soundtracks are amazing in quality.

Give me that EPIC feel that the Morrowind/Oblivion themes do. But every time I opened my DS.

Unfortunately, Dragon Quest likes to be like Pokemon, and do way too many remixes. All fantastic, though.
